Elmer’s Col­ored Slime

Elmer’s prom­ises that this slime recipe is su­per easy and kid friendly.

1 (4-ounce) bot­tle Elmer’s white school glue ½ ta­ble­spoon bak­ing soda Food col­or­ing

1 ta­ble­spoon con­tact lens


Pour out the en­tire bot­tle of Elmer’s glue into a bowl. Add bak­ing soda and mix thor­oughly. Af­ter mix­ing, add your choice of food col­or­ing un­til you get the color you want. Add con­tact lens so­lu­tion. Mix un­til mix­ture gets harder to mix and slime be­gins to form.

Take the slime out and be­gin knead­ing with both of your hands. If needed, add ¼ ta­ble­spoon of con­tact lens so­lu­tion to make the slime less sticky.

Adult su­per­vi­sion is re­quired, and this project is not ap­pro­pri­ate for chil­dren 3 or younger. Wash hands be­fore and af­ter mak­ing and play­ing with slime. Do not in­gest.
