EL DORADO — An effort to cover up a supposed robbery of the post office at Lawson, a village 10 miles east of here, is believed to have furnished the motive for starting a fire which, early this morning, swept the little town and resulted in a loss of $50,000. The fire started in the post office. From this building it spread through the village. Buildings destroyed include the post office, the B. B. Green store, the A. C. Chaney store, the Williams and McCall drug store, a barber shop, and several homes and barns.
