Getting it straight

As a matter of policy, the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette will publish corrections of errors in fact that have been printed in the newspaper.

The corrections will be made as soon as possible after the error has been brought to the attention of the editor at (479) 872-5168.

The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope is a National Science Foundation project, and Ivy Kupec is a public affairs specialist for the National Science Foundation. Those affiliations were incorrect in a story in Sunday’s editions about a University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, astrophysicist searching for an undiscovered planet.

Scott Trotter, author of a proposed Constitutional amendment, said he did not believe Attorney General Leslie Rutledge was complaining about the length of his submission. He said he wasn’t quoted accurately in an article Saturday about the proposed amendment which would broaden government revisions and protections for lawyers.
