BENTONVILLE — A Rogers man was in the Benton County Jail on Tuesday in connection with a road rage incident that resulted in a stabbing earlier this month, according to police.

Victor Miguel Collazo-Ramirez, 19, was arrested Friday in connection with battery. His bond was set at $20,000.

Rogers police were called at 8:16 p.m. July 10 to Mercy Hospital about an incident at South First Street and Post Road.

Cesar Santillan told police he got into a fight with another driver and was stabbed by the man, according to court documents. Police were able to identify the other driver as Collazo-Ramirez.

Santillan told officers he was driving on Laura Street toward Kirksey Middle School to play soccer. Santillan said the driver of a green Chevrolet Avalanche was headed in the opposite direction, and he started to yell at Santillan, according to the affidavit.

Santillan told police he was headed home when Collazo-Ramirez pulled up next to him at Second and Necessary streets and yelled at him. Santillan said he continued home and realized Collazo-Ramirez was following him. Santillan told police Collazo-Ramirez parked behind him in the driveway, according to the affidavit.

Santillan and Collazo-Ramirez got out of their cars and began to fight. Santillan told police he thought Collazo-Ramirez had a phone in one of his hands, but Santillan realized he was bleeding after the fight, according to the affidavit.

Santillan had a laceration on his left forearm and a smaller cut on his left upper back. Santillan had to have reconstructive surgery on his arm, according to court documents.

Santillan’s 17- year- old daughter told police she saw what appeared to be a knife with a dark blade in Collazo-Ramirez’s hand.

Police were able to identify Collazo-Ramirez after they learned he bragged about the incident on social media, according to the affidavit.

Prosecutors haven’t filed a formal charge against Collazo-Ramirez. His arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. Aug. 21 in Benton County Circuit Judge Robin Green’s court.
