Alzheimer’s

The Alzheimer’s Association, in collaboration with the Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education, presents a support group for those in early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia and their care partners. This is an eight-week series that will include education on all aspects of dementia and available community resources, as well as supportive discussions. Meetings will be from 1o a.m. to noon Wednesdays beginning Aug. 2 at the Schmieding Center in Springdale.

Ostomates

The Northwest Arkansas Ostomy Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. Aug. 20 at Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale. There will be an information/ educational meeting before the main meeting at 1 p.m. This month’s meeting will be focusing on answers to members’ questions.

Cancer Support

Hope Cancer Resources and Highlands Oncology Group offers a support group for patients affected by lymphedema. The group meets from noon to

1:30 p.m. Friday at Highlands Oncology Group in Rogers and is co-facilitated by lymphedema professionals and an oncology social worker.
