And now they swim

Fourteen young people are learning to swim this week in a program sponsored by the center, Boys & Girls Club and Jan Muetzel. Muetzel is a Beaver Lake resident who has advocated for decades the importance of teaching young people to swim. The kids didn’t know how to swim or knew very little when they began lessons Monday, said Alondra Duran, program director at the Rogers club. The lessons will wrap up on Friday.
