Asphalt work set in Benton County

Re­pair work at three in­ter­sec­tions in Benton County will re­quire lane clos­ings for three days be­gin­ning Mon­day, the Arkansas High­way and Trans­porta­tion Depart­ment said.

Weather per­mit­ting, the fol­low­ing in­ter­sec­tions will have al­ter­nat­ing lane clo­sures so sec­tions of asphalt can be re­moved in prepa­ra­tion for re­place­ment. Th­ese lane clos­ings will oc­cur be­tween 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the indi­cated dates:

■ Mon­day: the in­ter­sec­tion of Puppy Creek and Wagon Wheel roads in Spring­dale just west of the Wagon Wheel exit on In­ter­state 49 in front of APA’s Sharps Quarry.

■ Tues­day: the in­ter­sec­tion of U.S. 71B, Arkansas 264 East and Wagon Wheel Road.

■ Wed­nes­day: the in­ter­sec­tion of U.S. 71B, Arkansas 264 West and Mon­roe Av­enue in Rogers.

Crews will re­place the re­moved asphalt be­tween 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 6, weather per­mit­ting, the depart­ment said. If work is not com­pleted on Aug. 6, it will be com­pleted dur­ing the same times on Aug. 13.

Traf­fic will be con­trolled us­ing flag­gers, the depart­ment said.
