Whether you’ve lived here your entire life or are new to this outdoor mecca, you will find things to renew and refresh your spirit. There are very few places in the world that offer the vastly different experiences that beautiful Northwest Arkansas provides. Arkansas is after-all, the Natural State.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has just launched a new website that will inspire and challenge the natives or tourists, both kids and adults that want to revisit their youth. With a vast offering of outdoor activities for every level of experience and age group, you’ll want to visit www.getoutintheozarks.com to plan your next adventure.

The easy to navigate website will help you disconnect from your digital devices for a few hours and reconnect with nature, family and friends. Open your mind to the beauty of the Ozark & Ouachita Mountains. Current weather conditions and river conditions can be found on the website to help you plan your day to one of a dozen or more rivers and streams in Northwest Arkansas. Read about the marinas and swim areas at Beaver Lake. For those that prefer to learn about the nature and wildlife surrounding them, there are a number of Nature Centers within a few hours drive of Bentonville or Fayetteville.

The Razorback Regional Greenway was once a dream and in 2015 the Regional Planning Commission started realizing that dream. It is continuing to grow and add more routes and trails each year. Imagine cycling from Bella Vista to Fayetteville with scenic stops, shopping and dining along the way, or just start pedaling, because it’s a reality. Get away from it all and hike and camp at Devils Den. Or attend the ‘Mountain Bike Fest’ that takes place in May.

Every day getoutintheozarks.com is adding new events like the Audubon Society’s meeting at the Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area Visitor Center, Fishing Tournaments, Golf Tournaments, planned Nature Hikes and Motorcycle Rally’s.

Take the Holy Grail of Motorcycle Rides and jump on Highway 12 to Eureka Springs, do a little shopping, eat a great meal and take another route home. The scenery is phenomenal and the ride is memorable.

The peaks and valleys of the Ozarks make it a premiere destination for anyone who enjoys hiking. The waterfalls, caves, wildlife and fauna will bring to life those breath-taking views that can only be found in Northwest Arkansas. Learn all that Northwest Arkansas has to offer the “outdoorsman” in you.
