Qual­i­fy­ing med­i­cal con­di­tions

Peo­ple with one or more of the fol­low­ing con­di­tions could be el­i­gi­ble for med­i­cal mar­i­juana use:

■ Alzheimer’s dis­ease

■ Amy­otrophic lat­eral scle­ro­sis

■ Arthri­tis that’s con­sid­ered se­vere

■ Can­cer

■ Crohn’s dis­ease

■ Fi­bromyal­gia

■ Glau­coma

■ Hepati­tis C

■ HIV/AIDS

■ Post-trau­matic stress dis­or­der

■ Tourett’s syn­drome

■ Ul­cer­a­tive col­i­tis

Peo­ple are also el­i­gi­ble with a chronic con­di­tion or treat­ment for the same that causes one or more of the fol­low­ing:

■ Cachexia or wast­ing syn­drome

■ Mus­cle spasms that are se­vere and per­sis­tent

■ Nau­sea that’s con­sid­ered se­vere

■ Pain that doesn’t re­spond to other treat­ments for more than six months

■ Pe­riph­eral neu­ropa­thy

■ Seizures
