■ Kate Prichard, 25, was still in her wedding dress when she was arrested, accused of pulling an unloaded 9mm pistol out of the dress, pointing it at her new husband’s head and pulling the trigger, then loading it to fire a shot in the air as the two argued at a motel in Murfreesbo­ro, Tenn.

■ Carson King posted online a video of himself climbing scaffoldin­g surroundin­g Philadelph­ia City Hall and its clock tower, which is about 500 feet high, saying he wanted to take pictures from a unique vantage point and that “normal citizens” shouldn’t copy his stunt.

■ Father Michael Doyle said he and several trainee priests got an apology and a free round of beer after the doorman at a pub in Cardiff, Wales, turned them away after mistaking them for rowdy bachelor-party revelers in costume.

■ Christophe­r Gonzales and Gary Higginboth­am were arrested in Marietta, Ga., after posting videos of a vandalism rampage that included the teens breaking into a high school, jumping on a police car’s hood and spraying a restaurant’s patrons with a fire extinguish­er.

■ Nancy Chan, 39, a British citizen and a city employee in Austin, Texas, was sentenced to a year in prison after being convicted of marrying a former U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer in 2011 so she could become a U.S. citizen.

■ Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman in Prince William County, Va., said a 10-year-old Woodbridge girl out walking her dog escaped being kidnapped when her dog bit a stranger who grabbed her arm, causing the man to let go of her and flee.

■ Michael Hines, 53, of Derry, N.H., accused of driving under the influence and drug possession, told police that he was a mechanic and refused to get out of his burning car after crashing into a tree, forcing officers to drag him out twice as the fire spread, authoritie­s said.

■ Andrea Polito, a Texas wedding photograph­er, was awarded more than $1 million when a Dallas County jury determined that she was defamed by a newly married couple who, unhappy with her work, posted falsehoods about her on social media.

■ Jason Wertheimer and Kenyatta Charles, two New York City utility workers, opened a street grate and drained a sewer line to find a wedding ring that slipped out of the grasp of Sarah Sommer, who flagged them down after seeing her ring bounce on the sidewalk and into the sewer.
