Teenage boy’s body sent to state crime lab

FAYET­TEVILLE — The body of a teen boy found Fri­day was sent to the State Crime Lab­o­ra­tory to de­ter­mine cause of death, po­lice spokesman Sgt. An­thony Mur­phy said Mon­day.

Po­lice said Kaiden Fritch, 17, was found dead at 11:29 a.m. in an empty apart­ment in the same com­plex where he lived.

There is no ev­i­dence of trauma, Mur­phy said.

Po­lice are await­ing a tox­i­col­ogy re­port be­fore re­leas­ing more in­for­ma­tion, he said.

Fritch had been miss­ing six days when his body was found in­side Apt. C19 at the South­mount Apart­ments, 1101 S. Cur­tis Ave., po­lice said.
