Layton named interim CEO of Bentonville chamber
Debra Layton steps into the role of interim president and CEO of the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday. Dana Davis, the chamber’s current leader, retires on Tuesday.
Layton will fill the role on a part-time basis until the Board of Directors hires a replacement, Craig Rivaldo, board chairman, said in a news release.
Layton recently retired after a 31-year career with WalMart Stores. Layton started working for the retailer as an hourly employee in 1986. She worked in store operations, merchandising, global sourcing, professional services and real estate and served as chief merchandising officer — Chile and senior vice president of store formats, space and productivity. She retired as senior vice president of merchandising administration.
Davis announced his retirement plans in June. He led the chamber for four years.
