LOWELL — Roger “Pup” Bruce Salsman, 63, of Lowell passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Nov. 11, 1953, in Springfiel­d, Mo., to Elmer Franklin and Joan Holland Salsman.

Roger (Pup) worked for the Benton County Road Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his former wife, Trish Salsman Williams; one daughter, Autumn Holland and husband Jamie of Lowell; two sisters, Susan Elmore and husband Tommy of Lowell and Charlene Salsman and Aaron Whittle of Salem, Ore.; one grandchild, Cade Holland; and three nieces, Jennifer, Jamie and Jolyanna.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

ROGERS — Mrs. Arlene Allen Carter, age 56, of Rogers, Ark., passed away,

Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. Arlene was born Nov. 7, 1960, to Orlin and Mary Allen in Great Falls, Mont.

She was preceded in death by her father Orlin Allen.

Mrs. Carter was survived by her husband Steven Carter, and her two children Jesse Allen, and Tasha Hoyt.

ROGERS — William “Bill” Bruce Kibat, 64, of Rogers, passed from this life on Aug. 9, 2017, in Rogers. He was born on Aug. 13, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, to George and Peggy (Reichling) Kibat.

Bill enjoyed coaching and playing softball and playing pool.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bill is survived by siblings, Betty Kibat of Rogers, Jim Kibat and wife Sheryl of Rogers, George Kibat of Rogers, Debbie Thomas of Manhattan, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Gary Daryl Newton, 52, passed away Aug. 10, 2017, at the Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Ark., after a long battle with ALS. He was born in Springdale, Ark., on July 15, 1965, to J.B. and Ruth Newton.

He graduated from Gentry High School. Gary attend junior college in Oklahoma and graduated from COM School of Ministry in Tulsa, Okla., in 1995. He married Cory E. Hunnicutt on Dec. 19, 1994. They had one son, Tyler Newton, on April 21, 1998. He was a dedicated Christian, loving husband, father and friend.

Gary worked as a Children’s Pastor for several years in Oklahoma, after he was married. After the birth of his son, the family moved back home to NW Arkansas where he worked in sales for TEW, Inc.

Gary loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a HUGE sports fan.

He loved both watching and playing multiple sports. He especially enjoyed teaching, playing and watching his son, Tyler play basketball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Cory and son Tyler of the home in Siloam Springs, Ark.; his mother, Ruth Newton of Gentry, Ark.; his brother, Gene Newton, wife Susan Newton and their children Jonathan, Rachel, David and Matthew of Gentry; sister, Gail Langford of Springdale; nephew, Brad Doss and wife Daila and their daughter Lucy of Springdale; niece, Cristina Copeland, her husband James and their children Aiden, Asher and Avlyn of Springdale; father- in- law, John Hunnicutt of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Stephen and wife Karen of Kentucky and their children Michael, Karen Doss (her husband Nick and their son Josue), Kaitlynn Tatro (her husband Dalton their children Isabella, Karina, Katylia and Ayden), Brittany Hunnicutt (her daughter Keylie), Johnathan, Joshua, Abigail, and Joe; brother-inlaw, Shawn Hunnicutt, wife Tina and children Kami Kidd and Cole Hunnicutt of Marble, Ark. Gary also has a large number of surviving aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

A Celebratio­n of Gary’s life will be held in the gymnasium of the First Christian Church of Siloam Springs, Ark., located at 1405 West Jefferson St., Siloam Springs, Ark. 72761, on Aug. 26, 2017 from 4 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to share their favorite memories of Gary while eating of few of Gary’s favorite foods, laugh and remember the love we shared for him.

SPRINGDALE — Hallie Frances Sanders, age 96, ( formerly of Springfiel­d) passed away on Aug. 8, 2017,

in Springdale, Ark. She was born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Greene County, Missouri.

Hallie was a graduate of Willard High School in 1939 then attended Central Missouri State in Warrensbur­g, Mo. She loved playing the piano, crocheting, church and family. She was a member of Santa Fe Baptist Church in Weatherfor­d, Texas. Hallie was a proud homemaker.

She married Willard Eugene Scroggins and to this union they had two children, son James Eugene Scroggins and daughter Linda Scroggins Bandy. Willard was killed in action in Germany during World War II. She then married Roy Lee Sanders and they had two children, Roger William Sanders and daughter Ava Gail Sanders Klesen.

Hallie is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Dennis Firestone; mother, Lila Noble Firestone; three brothers, Paul Firestone, Glen Firestone and James Firestone; both her husbands, Willard and Roy Lee; and a son-inlaw, Major Joseph Klesen; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Christians­on Scroggins.

She is survived by her children, James Scroggins of Humansvill­e, Mo., Linda Bandy and husband Wayne Bandy of Independen­ce, Mo., Roger Sanders and wife Connie of Springdale, Ark., and Ava Gail Klesen of Bella Vista, Ark.; seven grandchild­ren; and nine great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with the burial following in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m.

ERIN, Tenn. — Jonathan Lee Plant, 72 of Erin, Tenn., passed away on Aug. 10, 2017. He was born on Aug. 11, 1944, in Fairfield, Calif., to Thomas Plant and Edith Plant.

He’s survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Sean (Staci) Bennett, Louis Brero; sister, Susan (Jerry) Dudley; eight grandchild­ren and six great-grandchild­ren.
