Customer appreciation
Sarah Widger, 4 (left), and her brother, Javier Widger, 3, lift a melon Saturday during customer appreciation day at the Springdale Farmers Market at The Jones Center for Families. Customers received free seed packets, samples of vendor items and drawings for prizes, including a cedar chair built and donated by Jack Ledbetter, a market vendor. The market is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Jones Center. Sarah and Javier were at the market with their mom, Jamie Widger of Springdale.
