BENTONVILL­E — Irma E. Pratt, age 97, of Bentonvill­e passed away Sept. 6, 2017, in Rogers. She was born May 21, 1920, in Clemenceau, Ariz., to the union of O. E. and Rennie Mae (Stump) Smith.

She married Harry M. Pratt, on the snowy night of Nov. 22, 1941, in the parsonage parlor of Rev. Tedford, 608 West Central in Bentonvill­e.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Pratt (1996); by two brothers, E.Lyle Smith (Geneva Shores), David D. Smith (Justine); three sisters, Mildred Crawford (John), Thelma Ward (Larry), and Carol Russell (Kenneth); two brothers-in-law, John Charles Pratt, and Ralph Max Pratt; three sisters-inlaw, Lucille McAvoy Lingle (Warnie), Marjorie Lawson (Millard), and Phyllis Chacey (Austin).

Survived by one son, Charles R. Pratt, Bentonvill­e; two grandsons, Gregory Pratt of Bend, Ore., and John Pratt of Washington, D.C.; three granddaugh­ters, Vanessa Harris (Vince) of Washington, D.C., Lisa Wilkerson (Kenny) of King George, Va., and Valerie DeJong (Dan) of Washington, D.C. ; six great-grandsons, Geoffrey Pratt, Brennon Pratt, Alex Harris, Zachary Harris, Aidan DeJong, and Milan DeJong; two great-granddaugh­ters, Annelies DeJong and Alivia Wilkerson; one great- great- granddaugh­ter, Chloe Pratt; and four greatgreat­grandsons, Landon Pratt, Jackson Pratt, Connor Pratt, and Jace Pratt; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to being a wife and mother, housewife, chief cook and bottle washer, she was a very proud and strong Democrat. Irma was the first president of The Democratic Women’s Club of Benton County, organized the first Democratic Picnic each summer in Little Flock, attended many Democratic state convention­s, and was a faithful worker and campaigner in the Democrats booth at the Benton County Fair.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bentonvill­e, joining in 1943, after moving back to Arkansas from Arizona. She taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school and sang in the choir each Sunday. She was a member of the local Business and Profession­al Women’s club. She loved her grandchild­ren, enjoyed her many friends, and passed many an hour with her crocheting and crafts, especially, in her later years, her own bead jewelry. She loved to play cards, pitch and canasta, with her friends, and games with her grandchild­ren.

She has been a good Christian, a faithful and supportive, loving wife, a very patient mother, a proud grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r, and a friend to many. We will miss her love, her smile, and her laughter. We are so glad to call her mother, or gramma.

A special thank you to the staffs at Innisfree Assisted Living, and at Innisfree Health and Rehab for the caring attention she received over the last few years. You made it possible for mother to maintain a great quality of life for which her family is very appreciati­ve.

FARMINGTON — Clyde Henry Carroll Jr., 74, of Farmington passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, in Fayettevil­le. He was born July 25, 1943, in Mammoth Spring, Ark., to Clyde Henry and Irene Charlton Carroll Sr.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Hurtt and a granddaugh­ter, Katherine Grace Carroll.

He was a U.S. Army veteran; worked 22 years with the federal government; was president of the Amateur Trap Shooting Associatio­n and attended West Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife, Eleanor Wisehart Carroll of the home; sons, Craig Carroll and wife, Angela of Allen, Texas, and Kevin Carroll of Fayettevil­le; and two grandchild­ren, Noah and Olive Carroll.

A celebratio­n of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Beard’s Chapel with Reverend Larry Little officiatin­g. Cremation arrangemen­ts by Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Larry Earl Ward, age 65, of Fayettevil­le, passed away at home on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017. He was born on March 11, 1952, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., to Earl and Edna Miller Ward.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry had a passion for the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He served in the U.S. Army and was honored with many awards including the Southwest Asia Service Medal, an Army Lapel Button and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.

He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Hight and husband Isaac of Springdale; three sons, Robert Ward of Fayettevil­le, David Ward of Springdale, and Clayton Ward of Stillwell, Okla.; one sister, Sharon Vaughan and husband Steve of Fayettevil­le; six grandchild­ren, Erika Ward, Noah Ward, Aidan Hight, Silas Hight, Ashton Ward and Chase Ward; four nieces and nephews including his caretaker, Michelle Sherwin; and seven great nieces and nephews.

GARFIELD — Billie Ray Jones, 76, of, Garfield, died, Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Legacy Hospice in Bentonvill­e. He was born April 18, 1941, at Garfield to William Leslie Jones and Eva Madge Reed Jones.

He was an industrial machinist at RTW retiring after 43 years, and enjoyed farming, gardening and his pets.

He was a member Twelve Corners Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, an infant twin brother, and a son Terry Wilkerson.

Survivors are his wife Linda LaNette Snyder Jones, whom he married Nov. 26, 1981, in Rogers; a son, Cliff Wilkerson of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Shelly Webb and husband Mike of Pea Ridge; seven grandchild­ren and 12 great-grandchild­ren.

Service is set for 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11 at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 at the funeral home.

LINCOLN — Lou Ellen Mulvaney, age 70, a resident of Lincoln, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. She was born Oct. 16, 1946, in Ventura, Calif., the daughter of Paul and Beatrice (O’Neal) Pettigrew.

Lou retired from Washington County Assessors Office. She was a member of the Summers Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mulvaney, her parents, four brothers: Bill Pettigrew, Clinton Pettigrew, Zolan Ray Pettigrew and Ralph Pettigrew, one sister, Rebecca Sue Pettigrew and one great-grandchild, Novan Coyne.

Survivors include her children, Ray Mulvaney and wife Michelle, Tom Mulvaney and wife Emily, Shawna Cunningham and husband Daniel; one brother, Stephen Pettigrew and his lady Suzan; two sisters, Maridell Mays and Zona Fannin; 12 grandchild­ren and seven great-grandchild­ren.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel.

Burial will be in the White Rock Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.

SPRINGDALE — April Eubanks, 39, of Springdale, passed Sept. 4, 2017. She was born May 9, 1978, in Rogers, Ark., and was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Bryant.

Survivors include; father, Charlie Eubanks, and children Matthew, Marty Jr., Marty Berl, Michaela, and Madeline Workman.

Memorial service is scheduled for this Saturday. Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

PEARLAND, Texas — Gary Dean Greenlee, age 39, of Pearland, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 3, 2017, at Cyfair Hospital in Houston. He was born on Dec. 31, 1977, in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

Gary was a family man. He loved his family and children and enjoyed having a good time with everyone. He always had a kind and gentle heart.

He always made everyone smile and laugh even if you were having a bad day. His hobbies were hunting and fishing and just being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Greenlee of Houston, Texas, his five children; Bethany Noel Greenlee of Johnson, Ark., Whitney Kayne Greenlee of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Katy Lynn Greenlee of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Lance Parker Greenlee of Houston, Texas, and Bentley Dean Greenlee of Houston, Texas, mother, Dean Reyes of Johnson, Ark., father Thomas J. Johnson of Guntown, Miss., three brothers; Terry Greenlee (Tasha), of Guntown, Miss., Steven Johnson (Kristen), of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Thomas L. Johnson (Melissa), of Prairie Grove, Ark., one sister Flora Frescura of Bentonvill­e, Ark., seven nephews, eight nieces, and grandmothe­r Ruby Johnson of Springdale, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts; Therman Johnson, LD and Irene Greenlee, aunts; Cindy Hawkins and Darlene Pennington, and uncles; Lester Johnson and Buddy Hawkins.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, family will be present from 5-6 p.m., at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at Living Faith Church Fayettevil­le, Ark., on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at noon with Brother Steven Curtis officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
