A Camden man accused of holding a woman captive for a week, beating her with a brick and raping her before she was able to escape was arrested Friday after he fled from officers earlier in the day. Sean Douglas Jenkins, 37, had escaped about 5 p.m. during confusion at a Camden apartment complex after officers arrived to search for him. People in a neighboring apartment, believing that police were after them, ran, creating a chaotic scene, said Sgt. Tami Poole with the Camden Police Department, and Jenkins escaped. An hour-and-a-half later, Poole and Lt. Evan Zeek found Jenkins hiding behind a vacant house in Camden. They took him into custody without incident.
