Shiloh Christian 48, Pottsville 0

The Saints rolled over the Apaches behind a solid defensive performance. The team bus had a blowout on the drive down, so the final score wasn’t the only blowout of the trip.

“We played extremely physical up front to get the shutout,” said Saints coach Jeff Conaway. “Our defensive line and linebackers did a great job of run fits and filling gaps, and that’s what you have to against a good running team like Pottsville.”

Conaway was unsure of offensive statistics but said quarterback Landon Brown, along with Micah Button and Caleb Carr, had “big games” to help the team take a 35-0 lead by halftime.

“I thought we played well, I really did,” Bryant Coach Buck James said. “We didn’t necessarily play sharp all the time, but we played hard. We finally got going a little on offense, but Lake Hamilton had been scoring 40-something points per game.
