The Lake Norfork Triathlon festival will use Panther Bay Park, David’s Trail and the Rocking Chair Resort in Mountain Home from Friday through Sunday.

The weekend will open with packet pickup and lastminute registration from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Friday at the Rocking Chair Resort, 278 Baxter County Road 763 in Mountain Home. A 5K and 10K run will follow at 7 p.m.

There will be packet pickups before other festival events, but Friday’s is the final opportunity to register.

A kids triathlon begins at 8 a.m. Saturday followed by three open-water swims (750 meters, 1.5K and 3K) beginning at 2 p.m. A sprint triathlon and an Olympic triathlon will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday.

For those interested in pushing the limits, there is a $145 option to register for the Off Your Rocker Challenge, which requires participants to complete the 10K, 3K open water swim and the Olympic triathlon.

For $130, the Half Off Your Rocker involves doing the Olympic tri but only the 5K run and 1.5K swim.

Online registration is available through Thursday. Fees for the two Friday runs, kids triathlon and each swim range from $25 to $40. The sprint triathlon is $90, and the Olympic tri is $100. Lastminute registration Friday will cost an extra $5 to $10, depending on the event, and add an extra $25 Friday for either challenge.

Athletes must have a valid USA Triathlon membership or buy a one-day permit ($15).

Awards will be given at least two-deep by sex and age group in each event.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Mountain Home Hurricanes Swim Team and the Wake for Warriors Foundation.
