People’s best interests

Senator Cotton: I read that you have accepted $1.97 million in campaign contributions from the NRA. Now that as of this writing 527 people are injured and 59 people are dead in Las Vegas, will you still be accepting campaign donations from this organization? Another question I have is, are you supporting the loosening of the restrictions on the sale of silencers? If so, how do you justify to any rational person that this is a good idea?

How much money is worth the loss of all those lives and the maimed that live? How do you explain that to your children? What if your kids were there and got shot by that maniac while trying to enjoy that music festival? Would that change your mind? Would that finally give you the courage to tell the NRA where to go and how to get there?

With a total casualty count of 586, you received about $3,360 per victim in campaign contributions from the NRA. If you keep taking from these promoters of murder, you are no better than they are. You would be much worse being the patsy that does their bidding, not to mention having that on your conscience and trying to find a way to explain yourself to God on your judgment day and hope that he doesn’t throw you into the pit of everlasting fire.

I am angry with you for several (tRump) policies you have supported that have hurt so many people you are supposed to represent, so my respect for you is at an all-time low in case you hadn’t already figured that out. Seeing you with him smiling on TV makes me sick. That segment on the news of you supporting and helping to write that disgustingly racist travel ban comes to mind.

What will it take for you to put people ahead of profit and finally act in the best interests of us Arkansans? It upsets me greatly to even feel the need to speak to you in such a terse way, but dammit, man, wake up to what you are doing and how much pain and suffering you are inflicting upon others!
