Government outsiders are worth voting for
Jan Morgan is the controversial lady who owns a gun shop in Hot Springs that banned Muslims. She has also been a Fox News contributor. She may run for governor of Arkansas against incumbent Asa Hutchinson.
I believe any reasonable challenger can beat any establishment incumbent in 2018. Roy Moore trounced establishment Sen. Luther Strange in Alabama in spite of heavy backing by Senate Leader Mitch McConnell and the Republican establishment. Alabama voiced the hearts and minds of Americans fed up with the status quo.
I will vote for anyone who isn’t an insider tool to replace the career lobbyist and establishment rube we call a governor, Asa Hutchinson. Consider that one in five full-time workers in our little state work for federal, state and local government. It is immediately apparent we have way too many bureaucrats telling us what to do and how to act. Anybody willing to clean up that little mess and carry the same fight to Washington, D.C., is high on my list.
In addition to several gubernatorial races nationwide, all 435 voting seats in the House of Representatives and 33 in the Senate are up for grabs. The potential for a real storm exists in 2018 as a perfect opportunity to drain the swamp not only in Washington, but at the state level as well.
Jan has my vote already. JEFF COOK Springdale
