ROGERS — Ronald

Eugene Ash, 66, of Rogers passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2017. He was born Dec. 29, 1950, in Rogers to the late Orville William and Dora Dean Myers Ash.

Ronald was also preceded by 2 brothers, Howard and Kenny Ash.

He was a people-person who loved playing country and gospel music, loved his family and friends, and always had a good joke to tell.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Hendrix, of the home. He is also survived by his daughter Shelby; sister, Doris Varnell (Kenneth) of Avoca; a brother, Don Ash (Sandy) of Bethel Heights; his mother-in-law, Mickey Hurts and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, business associates and dear friends.

A graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. today, Oct. 20, 2017, in Ruddick Cemetery near Garfield. Memorials are suggested to the Rogers Humane Society, 407 E. Nursery Road, Rogers, Ark., 72758. Arrangemen­ts are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

WESTVILLE, Okla. —

George “Larry” Myrick,

74, of Westville, Okla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Fayettevil­le.

Larry was born in Siloam Springs, Ark., on July 22, 1943, the son of Clessa Faye Myrick and Norma Decoma Cundiff Myrick.

He married Evelynas Blackfox on July 15, 1965, in Huntsville, Ark. Larry was a truck driver all of his life,

having started driving trucks at age 14. He last drove for the WNJ Express Trucking Co. and for 10 years he and Evelynas drove team together.

He was a member of the Wedington Missionary Baptist Church, who enjoyed fishing, camping, and especially spending time with his family. Larry served honorably in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelynas Myrick; three sons, Wayne Myrick and wife Kim of Siloam Springs, Ronald Myrick and wife Viletta of Westville, Okla., and Walter Myrick and wife Christie of Flint Ridge, Okla.; two brothers, Daryl Myrick and wife Alma of Siloam Springs and Butch Myrick and Reba of Grove, Okla.; one sister, Tammy and husband Donnie Meeker of Siloam Springs; five grandchild­ren, six great-grandchild­ren, and host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Wedington Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Doug Brown will officiate the service with burial being conducted at the Weddington Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
