Dale Keaton, 68, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Oct. 22, 2017. He was born Aug. 6, 1949, to Marlin and Irene Keaton in Garden City, Kan.

He was a retail manager for Weaver Popcorn. Tommy loved to fly and was an instrument rated pilot. He was a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary Club, past president of the Ulysses City Council and church moderator in Ulysses, Kan. Tommy and his wife moved to Bella Vista from Ulysses. They are members of the Village Bible Church.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kent Keaton.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 47 years, Janice; son, Aaron (Amanda) Keaton of Ulysses, Kan.; daughters, Jenny (Greg) Oliver of Lakin, Kan., and Miriam Keaton of Ulysses; brothers, Larry (Debbie) Keaton of Bella Vista, Ark., and Karl (Peggy) Keaton of Mulberry, Ark.; sisters, Jean (David) Kliewer of Ulysses, Kan., and Sherrill (Jim) Reed of Springdale, Ark.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. and funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 24, 2017 at Village Bible Church, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Services will follow at New Life Church, 837 N. Baughman St., Ulysses, Kan. Burial will be in Grant County Cemetery, Ulysses, Kan.

BENTONVILLE — Billy

Nelson Jenkins of Bentonville passed away on Oct. 20, 2017. He was born on July 26, 1961 in Oneida, Tenn. to the late Nelson and Lizzie Bell Jenkins.

Billy worked for WalMart for 38 years in several different positions, retiring as a forklift driver. He will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger. He was loved by everyone who met him.

Survivors include his sons, Rodney and Justin Jenkins; love of his life, Samantha Brown; grandchildren, Nelson and Jude Jenkins; sisters, Brenda Jenkins, Glenda Minic; brother, Bobby Riddle; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Linda Cornog.

Friends are invited to an informal, celebratory visitation with the family from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday evening, Oct. 24, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. On Wednesday, please join us for a graveside service at 3 p.m., in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.

FAYETTEVILLE — Kathy

Ann McCarty Britt, 65, passed away on Oct. 21, 2017, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark., after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer for nearly 10 years. She was born to Calvin and Betty Mumma McCarty on March 30, 1952, in Garden City, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Ark., and very much enjoyed the spiritual fulfillment and friendships gained from her Sunday school classes throughout the years at Central.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wayne Britt and three children, Michael Britt and his wife Pamela of Fayetteville and their three children Ella, Juliana and Hudson; Matthew Britt and his wife Ruth of Fayetteville and their daughter Sinclair with Lucy Jean expected to arrive in January; Mallory and her husband Virgil Gulley of Fayetteville, and her sister Regena Bolin and her husband Keith of Elkins, Ark.

At a young age, her family relocated from Kansas to a farm in Lincoln, Ark., where she was raised and graduated from high school. Her connection with the beautiful country in and around Lincoln continued throughout her life. She was a regular volunteer and supporter of the Arkansas Country Doctor Museum in Lincoln, the annual family reunion was held at the Prairie Grove Battlefield Park, she and her family were regular attendees at the Arkansas Apple Festival in Lincoln each October, and an annual scholarship in her name is given to a graduating female recipient at Lincoln high school each Spring.

Due to her selfless and caring nature, there was no better person to have in your life for love, advice, friendship or just someone to listen. As the first priority, her family felt that love and care each and every day. She touched many lives while volunteering locally to help others in their fight with cancer while she waged her own battle with the disease. She also participated in a nationwide program with MD Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas as a “phone buddy” to cancer patients undergoing similar treatments and counseled patients regularly as far away as Maine and Seattle, Wash. An impeccable chef, her many traditional dishes enjoyed over the decades were always prepared with care, finished right on time and incredibly delicious. That same care was given to her many plants and flowers she meticulously cared for on a daily basis. Those flowers, along with anyone she cared for, flourished with beautiful blooms due to her loving care.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 5-7 p.m., at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m., at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with a reception immediately after at Central.

Her final resting place will be the Bethesda Cemetery in Cane Hill, Ark., on a majestic hill near the family farm on which she was raised.
