Northwest Arkansas is home to innumerable talented musical acts and artists, making it easy to find a concert or art showing nearby, and they can be often found at the Meteor Guitar Gallery of Bentonville. Located at 128 W. Central Ave., Meteor Guitar Gallery is a one-stop music shop and venue. As a music store, Meteor Guitar Gallery provides a wide range of services including guitar and amp sales, tube amp and equipment repair, guitar, bass and drum lessons, as well as some equipment rental. The gallery has been in operation for 2 ½ years, with a full occupancy of 378 for almost a year. In addition to the instrument sales, lessons, and repair services, the gallery is also home to a large collection of art by several local artists. The artwork consists of paintings, pottery, leather belts, and jewelry and can be found displayed throughout the store as you view all the instruments and products the gallery has to offer. The Meteor Guitar Gallery is located inside of the restored 100 year-old Historic Plaza Theater building in downtown Bentonville and also serves as a venue. Whether you are hosting a fundraiser, wedding, reception, private party, alumni event, or class reunion, the Meteor Guitar Gallery has the large space perfect for your event. The venue is also a popular host of concerts, improv and stand-up comedy nights. This Saturday, Restless Natives will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Meteor Guitar Gallery. Restless Natives is a six-piece band playing a wide range of different styles of music. On Tuesday, Nov. 21, the November Showcase will feature eight regional songwriters. Each songwriter will perform one original song and the audience will give positive feedback with the idea being to help the songwriter improve his/her songwriting style. The audience will also rate each songwriter on a scale based on three factors: lyrics, melody, and overall performance. The top three songwriters will perform a second original song and the judging process will happen again. The winner from this showcase will move on to the finals at the Power of Music Festival in April, where they will compete for a grand prize. The showcase on Nov. 21 will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and there is a $5 admission fee for audience members, with For more information regarding future events or venue renting, visit the Meteor Guitar Gallery’s Facebook page at facebook.com/ MeteorGuitarGallery, or their website meteorguitargallery.com, or by calling them at (479) 268-1500.
