BELLA VISTA — John (Jack) Carl Taylor, 69, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Nov. 14, 2017, at the Veterans Home in Fayettevil­le. He was born on March 19, 1948, in Olean, N.Y., to Donald Taylor and Beulah Phillips Taylor.

Jack grew up in Lakeland, Fla. At 17 years old, he enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam receiving the Vietnam Service Medal with three campaign stars and three overseas service bars.

Jack enjoyed several careers including aircraft mechanic, woodworker, and most recent maintenanc­e for Wal-Mart Store 100. He was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He was hard working, charming and never met a stranger.

Preceded in death by his parents; his son, Aaron James Taylor and his mother-in-law, Phyllis Kettleman.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Taylor; son, John C. Taylor II and wife Jill; two daughters, Jennifer L. Goodin and husband, Adam, and Amy J. Davidson; and father-in-law, Muncie Kettleman. He was blessed with 18 grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Forest Hills Church, an American Baptist Congregati­on, 1702 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, Ark. Graveside services will be at noon, Monday, Nov. 20 at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery for both Jack and his son, Aaron James Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas State Veterans Home Family Council, 1179 N. College Avenue, Fayettevil­le, Ark., 72702. Arrangemen­ts are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.

CENTERTON — Ruby Pauline Dobbs Marshall, age 69, a resident of Centerton, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at her home. She was born June 13, 1948, in Prairie Grove, the daughter of John Herbert “Perno” and Jewell Agnus (Rose) Dobbs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and sisters Lavelle Howe, Bonnie Morrison, Omer Dobbs, Thorton Dobbs, Johnny Dobbs and Rachel Loftin.

Survivors include her three sons, Doug Marshall and wife Lacee, Todd Marshall and John Marshall all of Centerton; one brother Clinton Dobbs of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchild­ren Amanda, Kati and Trey Marshall, one great-granddaugh­ter, Sara Adkins and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Odell, Ark.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Carrie Ann Stiles has completed her purpose here on earth. She proved to the world who she was, what she could do, and how she would do it. She would express herself HER way and would love those unconditio­nally.

She was friends with most and for those she wasn’t, you had to WATCH OUT! Carrie lived her life to the fullest and had the most infectious smile.

Carrie was born Nov. 20, 1961, in Oklahoma to Clarence Edwin and Betty Jean Stiles. Carrie lived her life vicariousl­y with being afforded many opportunit­ies.

She spent her longest years working with Open Avenues as well as Arkansas Support Network. Through these opportunit­ies she became friends with most and formed several lifelong relationsh­ips.

Carrie loved her coloring, reading, taking care of all her “Babies” and her soft fur animals. She also loved going out to eat as well as the movies. Carrie was also usually the first one at any party and one of the last ones to close it down.

Carrie is survived by numerous family members, friends, and loved ones. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, companion, and advocate. She will truly be missed by all whose paths she crossed.

Carrie is finally reunited with her Momma as well as other family members and friends. She is continuing on, in her new life, laughing, joking, eating, loving, and just being Carrie. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for life, family and friends. She worked very hard all her life, up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of many.

Life Celebratio­n will take place on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at 1 p.m., at Beard’s Funeral Chapel, 855 S. Happy Hollow Rd., in Fayettevil­le.

We also ask, in lieu of flowers, that you please bring a new doll or stuffed animal. Carrie grew up loving her “babies” which were her dolls and animals.

GRAVETTE — William Lee Williams, 55 of Gravette, passed away Nov. 13, in Fort Smith. He was born May 30, 1962, in Gravette, to Buster and Jeweldine Williams.

Lee was a rock mason and loved hauling native stone. He was a great husband, father, grandfathe­r and provider. Lee was raised in Decatur and a lifelong resident of Gravette. He was also well traveled, spending time in both Alaska and Hawaii.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Bobby and Jim White; two sisters: Mahona Sullins and Wilma Jean Williams.

Lee is survived by his wife Sara of 34 years; sons: Nicholas and Nathan Williams; daughter, Bethany Wassenaar, husband Michael; grandchild­ren: Sara and Abel Wassanaar; brothers Mickey Williams and Kenney Setser; sisters: Jeannie Goodwin, Shirley Shook, Brenda Morriss, and Mary Ross; many nieces, nephews, cousins, etc.

Lee lived life to the fullest in spite of its difficulti­es, had a bit of a rebellious streak and never met a stranger. He was his own man who loved God and his family; although he is gone he will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry. Arrangemen­ts: Epting Funeral Home of Gravette.

ROGERS — George Raymond Ison Jr., of Rogers, passed from this life on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonvill­e. He was 75 years old.

Visitation is at noon followed by a funeral service on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Holt Memorial Chapel, in Harrison. Pastor Paul Price will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Pallbearer­s are Dale Chappelle, Payton Chappelle, Cade Chappelle, Joshua Lynch, Benjamin Lynch, and Joshua Tolson.

The son of George Raymond and Bertha Melvinia (Brady) Ison was born on March 1, 1942, at Little Rock, Ark. George was a veteran of the Air Force. He was a member of The Church in Lowell, Ark.

His parents; and one sister, Sandra Ward preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Kenna Sue (McClain) Ison; two daughters, Kelli Smith and husband, Aaron and Courtney Tolson and husband, Joshua, all of Rogers; three grandchild­ren, McKenna, Braison, and Tippit Tolson; one brother, Raymond Ison and his wife, Charlene, of Hot Springs; and one sister, Beverly Hubbs, of Little Rock.
