Don’t let liberals take nation’s freedoms away

I read two letters “Twisted by ideology” and “Country not the same” [both Oct. 2] in wonderment; what are they talking about and who is to blame?

One points their finger at President Trump fearing the loss of our Republic. If Hillary had won, her plan for America included a one-world nation under the control of the United Nations.

Another letter chose to weigh in on the professional athletes who have chosen to disrespect our Constitution, national anthem, flag, president, military and law enforcement. They have the right to do this; we have the right to boycott NFL games and their sponsors.

In her lifetime, the writer said she had witnessed the changing of our society. (She said she’s 75; I’m 81). What she doesn’t realize is the change that has come about is largely due to the work of the Democratic Party.

There are a lot of good Americans who have been kept in the dark by a false “free press” who have been bought by the far-left in our society (Democrats).

Even our federal law enforcement is covering up treasonous activity. This is the view of a retired police officer. This is fearful and treasonous.

God created this country and gave us our freedoms. Don’t let the likes of Obama. Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer, the Democratic Party and George Soros take them away. HIRAM B. COOPER Bella Vista
