■ Sacha Baron Cohen, the comic actor known for his character “Borat,” has offered to pay the $68 fine levied on each of six Czech tourists detained in Astana, Kazakhstan, for donning “mankinis” and black wigs to dress up like Borat and trying to take a group picture in front of an “I Love Astana” sign.

■ Lexie Harris, 6, a Wisconsin kindergart­ner, became one of the first youngsters to bag a deer under a new state law that eliminated the state’s minimum hunting age when she used a youth-sized rifle to kill a six-point buck with the help of her father, Tyler.

■ Kate McClure, 27, started an online campaign that raised more than $13,000 to benefit Johnny Bobbitt Jr., a homeless man who used his last $20 to fill McClure’s gas tank when she ran out of gas on Interstate 95 near Philadelph­ia and didn’t have money to buy it herself.
