LIGHTS OF THE OZARKS
WHAT — It takes city works more than 3,300 hours to put up almost half a million lights on the square for “Lights of the Ozarks,” now in its 24th year. There will once again be carriage rides and camel rides on the square beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving. WHEN — Through Jan. 1

A ROGERS CHRISTMAS
WHAT — The Christmas traditions of early Rogers will be the focus of a special exhibition. Stepping into the Hawkins House you will learn that much of the holiday season was focused on helping those less fortunate. With baked goods, canned foods, and clothing gathered for the local charity drive. You’ll see that the family enjoyed winter fun with ice skating on a local pond or going sledding. The house will also be decorated in traditional pine boughs and holly; with a small tabletop tree decorated in tinsel, gilded nuts, homemade ornaments and candles.
