BOYS

Elkins 60, Gentry 43

Elkins jumped out to a 35-20 halftime lead and went on to remain unbeaten with a 4A/3A District 1 win Tuesday in Gentry. Paxton Barnett had 24 points for the Elkins (9-0), while Ethan Hipps added 13. Ethan Hamond led Gentry (3-5) with 16 points, followed by Dylan Kilgore with 10.

Hackett 44, Cedarville 41

Tanner Hamilton scored a game-high 23 points for the Hornets and Malachi Crone finished with 12 to help Hackett snap a threegame losing streak.

Hackett (4-4) returns to play Thursday at Booneville.

Magazine 81, Johnson County Westside 75 Randon Baumgartner poured in a game-high 32 points for the Rattlers (7-3, 2-0) in a fastpaced win Tuesday. Matt Smith and Chase Gibson added 19 and 15, respectively, for Magazine.

Joseph Smith led the Rebels (1-9, 0-2) with 21 points and Jamison Morgan added 18.

Deer 70, Jasper 40

Deer almost placed its entire starting lineup in double figures as the Antlers defeated Jasper in a 2A/1A District 2 game Tuesday night in Deer.

Evan Middleton had seven 3-pointers and finished 21 points to lead Deer (16-1), followed by Isaiah Casey with 15, Caden Young with 11, Dylan Smith with 11 and Johnny Smith with 8. Evan Brasel led the Pirates (5-12) with 18 and Caleb Carter added 13.

Omaha 64, Lead Hill 19

Omaha jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter and cruised to its win over Lead Hill in a non-district game Tuesday night. Garrett Matlock had 22 points for the Eagles (18-0), who led 25-5 at halftime, while Dillon Gant was the only other play in double figures with 13. Bradley Norman had eight for Lead Hill (6-16).

Haas Hall-Fayetteville 69, West Fork 64 The Mastiffs earned their first win of the season Tuesday night as Rhett Owen scored 29 points.

Justin Birens led all scorers with 32.

Shelby Diaville scored 15 points as Elkins slipped past Gentry in a 4A/3A District 1 game in Gentry.

Allison Coleman added 12 for the Lady Elks (7-1), who trailed 27-26 to start the fourth quarter. Haley Hays had 15 points for Gentry (4-5), followed by Hannah Boss with 11.
