BELLA VISTA — Gereva Josephine Chiles, 75, of Bella Vista died Wednesday at Circle of Life Hospice House. Survivors: five sons, brother; Edwin Hale Reider and his wife Diane of Bella Vista, 19 grandchild­ren, 21 great-grandchild­ren. Memorials to: American Cancer Society. No services planned. BELLA VISTA — John

Charles Kinder, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away at his home on Dec. 27, 2017. John is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Kinder and Willa Mae Lull and his brother, Larry Kinder.

John is survived by his loving wife, Carla of 33 years. They were married in Perry, Iowa, on Dec. 1, 1984.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife Carla of Bella Vista, Ark., brother, Gary of Mustang, Okla., brother, Tom Lull of Martensdal­e, Iowa, and children, Robin Burke (Bob) of Perry, Iowa, and Shelly Weigel of Urbandale, Iowa, and grandchild­ren, Madison DeSchamp (Brent), Brooklyn Storm (Kyle) Ian Burke (Victoria), Peyton Weigel, Piper Weigel, six great-grandchild­ren, mother-in-law, Carol Bohner of Perry, and many nieces and nephews.

John was born in Burbank, Calif., in 1943. He graduated from Wentworth Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He worked several jobs throughout his career including Armstrong Tire and Rubber, superinten­dent of the Perry Cemetery, deputy sheriff in Grand County, Colo., Schwan’s and most recently he was a partner in Customs Electronic­s. Over the years, he owned and operated Timberline Sports Shop and KKB Gun Shop. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Family visitation will be from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry, Iowa, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Memorials may be left in memory of John Kinder. Online condolence­s may be made at www.funeralmat­ion.com.

BELLA VISTA — Noreen James Witten, 91, of Bella Vista went to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2017. She is survived by six children, several grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. JOHNSON — Robert

Paul Wilson Sr., age 75, of Johnson, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Dec. 27, 2017. He was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Divine, Texas, to Claude and Clara Wilson. Robert loved fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family. He was a machinist for over 40 years and retired from Pratt & Whitney. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded by his parents and one brother, Donald Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Wilson, of the home; three sons: Robert Wilson Jr., David Wilson, and Clayton Wilson; one daughter, Sherry Costales; one brother, Fred Wilson of Farmington; two sisters: Glenda McBay of Alvin, Texas, and Pauline Dority of Grande Prairie, Texas; and 14 grandchild­ren.

KINGSTON — Lois Louise

White, 93, of Kingston, Ark., died Dec. 28, 2017, at Springdale Health and Rehabilita­tion Center in Springdale, Ark. She was born Aug. 16, 1924, at Kingston, Ark., the daughter of William “Bill” and Cora Bowen Eoff.

She was a homemaker, a Baptist and the widow of Dorsey Lee White, who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2000.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Kositzke, two brothers, Wesley Eoff and J.E. Eoff and by four sisters, Verma Clark, Karleen Eaton, Imogene Lillard and Maxine Sloan.

Survivors include two daughters and three sonsin-law, Joyce and James Bradley of Springdale, Ark., Sharon and Harold Logan of Dry Fork, Ark., and Bob Kositzke of Clifty, Ark.; five grandsons and three granddaugh­ters-in-law, Randy and Kim Bradley of Springdale, Ark., Roger Logan, Michael and Brenda Logan and Kevin Logan, all of Dry Fork, Ark.s and Jeff and Michele Kositzke of Rogers, Ark.; one granddaugh­ter and grandson-in-law, Kim and Chad Thomas of Springdale, Ark.; nine great-grandsons and one great-granddaugh­ter-in-law, Jason and Katie Bradley of Blue Eye, Mo., Avery Logan, Morgan Logan, Braden Logan, Matthew Logan and Kooper Logan, all of Dry Fork, Ark., Bradley Thomas of Springdale, Ark., Dylan Kositzke and Mason Kositzke, both of Clifty, Ark.; four great-granddaugh­ters and one greatgrand­son-in-law, Brittney and Jake Wheeler of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Kaitlyn Thomas and Ashley Bradley, both of Springdale, Ark., and Jurnee Logan of Dry Fork, Ark., and four great-great-grandchild­ren, Ella Wheeler and Emelia Wheeler, both of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Will Coffman of Springdale, Ark., and Carter Bradley of Blue Eye, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Randy Bradley and James Bradley officiatin­g. Interment will be in the Kingston Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashears funeralhom­e.net of Huntsville, Ark.

Pallbearer­s will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearer­s will be great-grandchild­ren and great-great-grandchild­ren. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the services on Saturday.

LITTLE ROCK — Eugene

Beavers, 87, of Little Rock passed away Monday, Dec. 25 surrounded by his family. He was born March 16, 1930, in Hot Springs to the late A.J. Beavers and Osie Vaughan Beavers.

He was an active member of The Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock and had served as Deacon at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church for many years.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Orville Beavers, Arlie Beavers and Kenneth Beavers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Beavers of Little Rock and his children, Garry (Elizabeth) Beavers of Little Rock, Wanda (John) Strode of Jonesboro and Lori (Jay) Hale of Sherwood. He is also survived by granddaugh­ters, Carrie (Josh) Swinea of Desha and Emily Strode of Jonesboro and two great-granddaugh­ters Emory Swinea and Hadden Swinea both of Desha.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for several years. He was employed as an accountant with a Ford dealership in Little Rock for 28 years and received the Ford Accounting Excellence Award for many years. He enjoyed woodworkin­g and crafts with his wife during his retirement years. Gospel music was a favorite of his and he sang bass in a Gospel Quartet for many years.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Roller Chenal Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Bryant.

Pallbearer­s are Bob Anthony, Kenneth Beavers Jr., Lawrence Blackmon, Scott Christense­n, Greg Dalton and Terry Robertson. Honorary pallbearer­s are Johnny Biggs, Ed Culin, Leon Gray, John Harrison, Larry Lovett, Bob Morton and John Ross.

SPRINGDALE — David (Dave) Sherman Quay,

age 56, passed away unexpected­ly in mid-September 2017 at his home in Springdale, Ark.

Dave was the fourth son born to Robert Quay and Shirley McClain, June 7, 1961. Dave grew up playing sports in western Pennsylvan­ia and graduated from Beaver High School in 1979. After graduation he spent two years in Southern California living with his step mother Jean Sullivan Quay and his two younger sisters before joining the navy. Dave served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellat­ion from 1983-86. He returned to California for several years after the service before moving to Branson, Mo., and finally settling in Springdale, Ark. Dave was employed by WalMart for many years and was proud of being a homeowner.

Dave will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious laugh, his love for the Beatles, his 1972 Nova, the Pittsburgh Steelers and his dogs Lady, Abbey and Kimba. Dave loved to give everyone nick-names and to find humor in the mundane.

Dave is survived by his brothers, Jeffrey Quay, Robert (Sharron) Quay and John (Donna) Quay, and sisters, Valerie Quay Anderson and Elisabeth Quay (Tom) Pirruccell­o, and step-mother, Jean Sullivan Quay, along with two nephews and four nieces.

His immediate family and closest friends met on Dec. 17 to remember and celebrate Dave’s life. He will be laid to rest in Johnstown, Pa., with preceded family.

WEST FORK — Emma

A. Odom, 93, of West Fork, Ark., was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Andrews County, Texas, to Marvin Cox and Emma (Reed) Cox.

She worked with her husband as a bookkeeper in their family business, AB Tristate Termite and Pest Control as well as for the West Fork Public Schools but her main job was caring for a family. She was of the Assembly of God Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rosslee “Roy” Odom, and her oldest daughter; Linda Kathryn Odom Bilbrey. She is survived two sons; Ross Dale Odom of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Stephen Neal Odom of West Fork, Ark., two daughters; Sandy Gifford of West Fork, Ark., Vickie Singleton of Huntersvil­le, N.C., one brother, Tommy Cox of Valiant, Okla., one sister, Edna Faye Hathcock of Terrell, Texas, five grandchild­ren, four great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 28 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayettevil­le. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 29 at West Fork Assembly of God Church officiatin­g. Burial will follow at West Fork Cemetery. YUMA, Ariz. — Elaine

Darlene Dean, 80, recently of Yuma, Ariz., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, in Yuma. She was born on March 7, 1931, in Wahoo, Neb., to Glenn P. Tharp and Evae B. (Dabney) Tharp.

She moved to Bella Vista in 1985 from Hasting, Neb. She was a member of the Village Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Steven P. Dean and brother, Kenneth Tharp.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Dean of Yuma, Ariz.; two daughters, Phyllis L. Dean of Azel, Texas, Cheryl A. Prophitt (Tommy) of Gun Barrel City, Texas; one brother, Gerald Tharp of Lincoln, Neb.; six grandchild­ren and six great-grandchild­ren; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at 12 noon with Funeral Services to follow at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, in the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bella Vista Cemetery.
