■ Summer Burgos’ 2-year-old dog, Joker, bolted from his crate at a Fort Lauderdale airport after Burgos flew him to Florida to live with her family while she trains in the Navy, but Joker was found 4 miles from the airport eight days later and reunited with Burgos.

■ Sherwin Shayegan, 34, of Washington faces child-endangerme­nt charges after Shayegan massaged a 14-year-old boy’s back without the boy’s permission at the Newark, N.J., airport, and gave the teen a note with money inside and a thankyou message that included “alarming content,” New Jersey authoritie­s said.

■ Kent Dill, deputy coroner for Greenville County, S.C., said authoritie­s were hunting Saturday for two people who dropped off the body of a 20-year-old man at a hospital and left before anyone could ask questions.

■ Shawn Bronson and Michael Payne, both Comcast technician­s, were restoring service to customers in Monson, Mass., when they saw a 2-year-old girl wearing only a diaper in 9-degree weather wander into traffic, and after scooping her up and taking her to a grocery store where they awaited police, her father was located and faces a reckless endangerme­nt charge.

■ Cody Hassler, 34, of Washington, Mo., faces burglary, stalking and theft charges after telling officers that he has an “underwear fetish” and sneaked into a home of a mother and her teenage daughter to steal a garment, police said.

■ Donna Byrne, 53, was found by a Polk County, Fla., judge to be unfit to care for her horse and was ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol addiction after authoritie­s said she rode the animal down a highway while drunk.

■ Sanjiv Patankar, a New Jersey colon and rectal surgeon, had his doctor’s license suspended after state officials said he reused disposable anal catheters on multiple patients.
