SAU wins on road
CJ Elkins scored 21 points and had 8 rebounds and 8 assists as Southern Arkansas University (7-7, 3-5 Great American Conference) won 80-76 over Arkansas Tech University (10-4, 4-4) on Saturday in Russellville.
Draylan Perkins had 17 points, Gabe Gilliam 12 points and Keeton Tennison 11 points for the Muleriders.
Montrell Williams scored 18 points for the Wonder Boys.
UAM earns victory
Tyrin Jones scored 20 points and the University of Arkansas at Monticello (9-5, 4-4 GAC) defeated Henderson State University (7-7, 2-6) 82-72 in Monticello.
Karim Mawuenyega had 19 points for the Boll Weevils. Derylton Hill finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
For the Reddies, Kaylon Tappin had 18 points.
UAFS loses to Dallas Baptist
The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith (14-3, 3-3 Heartland Conference) lost 76-60 to Dallas Baptist (14-2, 4-1) in Dallas.
Adam Rivera scored 19 points to lead UAFS.
John Brown falls on road
Jake Caudle had 16 points for John Brown University (9-6, 4-3 Sooner Athletic Conference), which lost 81-73 to Southwestern A.G. (11-5, 5-3) in Waxahachie, Texas.
Brenton Toussaint finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists for JBU.
