Arts on the rise at Arts Center of the Ozarks

Arts Rising on Feb. 24 at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale will benefit the nonprofit arts organization and feature several elements.

Partygoers will find a number of activities, arts and tastes from which to choose, such as live artwork by Jane Garrison, live music by Smokey and the Mirror, wine studio and raffle and Jon Shorter’s Singalong Piano Party (dueling pianos). Guests will also have chances to win a television with a hole-in-one and pop a balloon for Botox.

ACO will also recognize two longtime patrons that evening. “We want to lift up people who are elevating the arts through the mission at the Arts Center. This year we especially want to honor Bob and Diane Shaw for their consistent support in major ways. This kind of support is how, together, we will build a thriving community socially, culturally and economically,” said Tareneh Manning arts center board president and gala chairwoman.

Luxury silent auction items

will include a Sassafras Winery deck party for 80; private dinner party for eight prepared by Chef Miles James; a selection of fine art to take home that evening accompanied by an artist studio visit with wine and cheese; an electric bike from Phat Tire; and destination vacations.

Proceeds from the evening will “benefit Arts Center of the Ozarks and community arts initiatives to support a socially connected, culturally rich and economically vibrant community in Downtown Springdale.”
