BENTONVILL­E — Steven

Patrick Maher was born on March 10, 1955, in Tulsa, Okla. He moved to Titusville, Fla., at age 2, with his parents John and Paula Maher and his oldest brother John David.

For the most part, Steve lived in Florida over the last 60 years.

He graduated from Titusville High School in 1973, and completed a four-year apprentice­ship from 1972 to 1976 to become an electricia­n. Following in his father’s footsteps, he worked with the Space Program at Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center for the next several years.

Steve moved to Bentonvill­e, Ark., to live with his mother in 2008, after his father passed away in 2007. Steve passed away on Feb. 12 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e, as a result of an auto accident in January.

Survived by his mother, Paula Brown Maher; sons Steven Cody (Monica) and Nathan Jace; brothers John David and Bob (Vicki); sister Dena Mortensen (Gordy); nephews Taylor John and Keaton Edward and greatniece Acacia Rae. Also survived by several cousins and many close friends and colleagues from work.

A short memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Circle of Life Hospice Chapel in Bentonvill­e at 2 p.m.

Another service will be held in Oklahoma at a later date.

ROGERS — Michael Alan

Drummond, 63, passed away on Feb. 14, 2018, at his home. He was born on Oct. 12, 1954, in Wichita, Kan., to the late John and Dororthy (Coon) Drummond. Michael was an avid Chief’s fan and loved going to their games. “Pops” cherished his relationsh­ip with his best buddy Gunnar “Hoss” as he called him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra and brothers Craig and Dan Drummond.

He is survived by his son, Craig Drummond and wife Susie of Rogers; grandsons Blakely White and Gunnar Drummond; brother Patrick Drummond of Bentonvill­e; sisters Kathleen Drummond and Amy Anderson (Dave), both of Wichita, Kan.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

ROGERS — Mary

McConnell, 74, of Rogers died Feb. 14, 2018. Born Jan. 29, 1944, to the late Roy and Jessie Curnutt. Survivors: children, Timothy, Kevin, Jeff, Matthew Brace; sisters, Opal Forsyth and June Saterfield. Service: 6 p.m. Friday; Feb. 16, 2018, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.

ASHLAND, Ohio —

Richard Ralph Lambert,

58, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 14, 2018, at University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center following a short illness. Richard was born Aug. 1, 1959, in Zanesville, Ohio, and was the son of Ralph S. and Bernice T. (Dreysse) Lambert.

He resided in Ashland for the past 15 years, moving from Rogers, Ark.

Richard attended Richland New Hope in Mansfield. He worked at the Adult Developmen­tal Center for 18 years in Rogers, Ark.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and the church choir.

Richard loved taking trips to Hessel, Mich., Myrtle Beach and Bentonvill­e, Ark. He enjoyed watching Arkansas Razorback football, Ohio State football, and listening to his favorite singer, Daniel O’Donnell. He had attended many of his performanc­es.

He enjoyed bowling and while at (ADC) he won many trophies for playing basketball in the Special Olympics. Richard never met a stranger and was always giving out free hugs. He had a great sense of humor and made everyone smile.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice T. Lambert of Ashland; three sisters, Stephanie (Ron) Brown and Kathleen (Denis) Fox both of Ashland; Clare (Peter) Shaffer of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ralph S. Lambert; a brother, William G. Jewell and his grandparen­ts, Richard and Anna Lambert and George and Minnie Dreysse.

He will be especially missed by his good and loyal friend, Trevan Morris. Richard loved riding in Tre’s truck and especially going for ice cream. Trevan’s whole family grew to love and care for him.

He will be deeply missed by Heather and Ray Mullins, Audrey, Hunter, Bentley and Heather’s mother, Cindy Robison. They always said he was one of the family and while caring for Richard’s mother, they spent countless hours doing activities and cooking delicious meals for him. Also, the best next-door neighbors, Tom and Mag Workman and their dog Bella were a huge part of Richard’s life.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Rich Pate officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. F

riends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
