■ Robert Gentile, 81, a reputed mobster, is believed by federal prosecutor­s to be the last surviving person of interest in the still-unsolved 1990 heist at Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, in which thieves stole an estimated $500 million worth of artwork, including works by Rembrandt and Johannes Vermeer.

■ Erica Gomez, 17, gave birth at her home in El Paso, Texas, to a baby girl who was found dead about 12 hours later, wrapped in a bathrobe inside a storage shed with stab wounds and cuts to her neck and body, resulting in the mother’s arrest.

■ Carlos Guimaraes and Jemima Guimaraes were indicted by a federal grand jury in Houston on kidnapping and conspiracy charges after being accused of helping their grandson from Texas illegally remain in Brazil when his mother purportedl­y violated a custody order in a divorce case.

■ Dustin Lockwood, 23, was taken into custody at Fox High School in Arnold, Mo., and charged with possessing a firearm in a school zone after authoritie­s found numerous weapons in his vehicle when he was picking up his sister.
