Gotta read them all …

-

Kudos to John Brummett for knocking another one out of the park on the latest utterances of Trump concerning the NRA fraidy-cat senators/ representatives. Can’t wait to read on the Voices page of despairing patriots who have to read dear John’s disrespectful badgering of their chosen one. Isn’t he just deplorable?

Enjoyed reading Shane Hampton’s “Opie of Mayberryish” tale of a child (hisself) shooting a black bird with a newly acquired Crosman pellet gun. I’m sure plenty of us were slowly nodding our heads as we read it. WR Corley’s short paragraph on how to secure our schools was food for thought. Asking retired military/police to retrain and volunteer to help guard our schools would take the onus off the teachers who are already having a hard time as it is with their present workload, and as their salaries/benefits remain stagnant.

I could not agree more with Alex Mironoff about Mike Masterson’s weekly columns. Yes, Mike, stick to what you’re good at and resolve to keep the Natural State clean and vibrant. Help us claw our way up from 49th, 48th, even 37th in “Pick Your Category” or maybe help change some outdated mindsets about race closer to home than Washington, D.C. We all know how you voted, Mike, but you’re grasping at straws when you try to defend the indecent.

And last, but not least, thank you, Walter E. Williams, he who espouses the scientific economic proof that there would be peace and harmony, clear skies and manna from heaven, and just today … no mental health problems in this country if the government just backed off. Rather, if we would just, all of us … on the count of three … just pull up on our jackboots at once and work (that is, spend money) together as a team. Not likely to happen, huh. So, we try, trip, and err until we get it right by liberal progressive democracy. PHILLIP CORRELL Little Rock
