Effort targets feral hogs
Crews from the Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri recently removed 615 feral hogs on public and private land in northeast and southeast Arkansas. The hogs were removed from Trusten Holder, Cut-off Creek, Choctaw Island and Big Lake wildlife management areas and adjoining private land.
Aerial operations were conducted Feb. 26-27 and March 1-2. For short periods, the wildlife management areas were closed for public safety during the flights.
