OVERVIEW

Williams Baptist University is a liberal arts university in Walnut Ridge that combines a rigorous academic curriculum with Christian commitment. The university has an average enrollment of 500.

ACADEMICS

Williams offers more than 25 bachelor’s degree majors, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. Small class sizes and a 13to-1 student-to-teacher ratio assure a personal connection between faculty and students. Students have unique opportunit­ies for individual research and hands-on experience.

FACILITIES

Williams features a beautiful, modern campus. A recent cafeteria renovation doubled the size of the student- dining area, and last year’s completion of Belle Hall added to the comfortabl­e and convenient residence facilities on campus.

CAMPUS LIFE

More than 20 student organizati­ons, intramural athletics and many other activities give students abundant opportunit­ies to become involved on campus.

SPORTS

Williams fields teams in 19 varsity sports. For men: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling. For women: basketball, cross country, golf, softball, swimming, soccer, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field and volleyball.

FINANCIAL AID

Incoming freshmen have the opportunit­y to receive merit-based, need-based and restricted scholarshi­ps. Transfer scholarshi­ps are available for nonfreshme­n.
