BELLA VISTA — Oscar Herman Johnson, 91, of Bella Vista, died Friday, M a rc h 16, 2018, at his home. He was born March 18, 1926, in Claflin, Kan., to Charles Oscar and Nellie F. Johnson.

Oscar was married for 71 years to Virginia Lee Mattingly Johnson, and he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Johnny ( Ginger) Johnson and Ken Johnson; one daughter, Sharon (Keith) Koehler; five grandchild­ren Heather, Karon, Kevin, Kris and Meghan; two great- grandchild­ren Mitchell and Easton.

BENTONVILL­E — Shelah Lewis Clark Sr., 83, of Northwest Arkansas, passed away March 13, 2018, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. He was born Oct. 22, 1934, in Nashville, Tenn., to Joseph and Lela Lewis Clark.

He was surrounded by the love of his friends and family. He is now living in the presence of Jesus and we praise God for the grace and mercy He pours on our lives to allow us to be called His children and live with Him for eternity for all who believe on Him.

Lewis was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict where he served as a medical assistant in the Navy and Marines. Lewis graduated from Belmont University in Tennessee. After a short stint with insurance he was transferre­d to North Little Rock where he spent 30 years with General Mills Food Company. Later when he retired, he and his wife moved to Bella Vista to enjoy family, friends, and golf. Lots of golf! He and his wife were always faithful attenders of their church and involved in their church activities. Lewis led worship through the years of his life in various churches they attended.

Lewis enjoyed a life of family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, tennis, golf, running, and the yearly trip each summer to the beaches of Florida. Lewis had a tremendous sense of humor and knew how to play. His focus on his family strengthen­ed the bond of love between them all. He was known to all as a man of integrity. He was a servant to all. The most important part of his life was sharing the delight, joy and excitement he found in his personal relationsh­ip with Jesus Christ.

Lewis was the third of seven children. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother J.B. Clark. Lewis is survived by his loving wife; Patsy Lee Kirby Clark; sons, S. Lewis Clark Jr. and his wife Jan of Fayettevil­le, Roger Lee Clark and his wife Vickie of Rockwall, Texas, Scott Andrew Clark and his wife Jo Ellen of Bentonvill­e, Ben Richard Clark and his wife Christine of Fayettevil­le, his daughter, Amye Gail Hebert and her husband Bryan of Mena, and his daughter, Kay Hardin of North Little Rock; brother Eddie Wayne Clark Sr. and his wife Virginia Bee; sisters, Bertha Joyce Anderson, Mildred Estelle Ray and her husband Jesse, Shirley Ann Herring and her husband Carey, Sandra Faye Minor and her husband Ronnie; 18 grandkids, Micah, Mark, Mayci, Nicholas, Natalie, Kebby, Kirby, Clayton, Seth, Nathan, Cameron, Coleman, Cooper, Maddison, Clark, Sydney, Blade, Boden and 17 great-grandkids.

A memorial service that will celebrate his life and glorify our Savior, Jesus Christ, will be held on Sunday, March 25 at the Training Center Chapel at Fellowship Bible Church of Rogers, Ark., at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to The Restoratio­n Village in Little Flock, Ark. PEA RIDGE — Howard Dailey Burleson, age 82, passed away in Bentonvill­e on March 17, 2018. He was born in Hamilton, Ala., on Nov. 3, 1935, to Fred D. and Willie Lillie (Smith) Burleson.

He retired from TeePak after 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George (Bill) and Marshall Burleson; a sister, Joyce Britton; his first wife of 47 years, Joan Burleson; his son, Howard Dailey Jr. and granddaugh­ter Lee-Ann Burleson.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Ruddick) Burleson; son Bruce Fred and Lovana Burleson; sister DeLois Foxworthy; daughters Tammy and Wayne Stidham and Lucinda and Jim Kelly; seven grandchild­ren and nine great-grandchild­ren.

SPRINGDALE — Melton Lee Phillips, 82, of Springdale passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born June 16, 1935, in Kansas City, Kan., to Odius and Versie Bogle Phillips.

Melton worked for Cintas. He loved his job, NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, car shows and country music. He took pleasure in being around people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ray Phillips, two daughters, Liz Bannister and LaJoice Phillips. Survivors include two daughters, Amy Lawson and husband Robert of Springdale and Delicinda Bowen of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; six grandchild­ren and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

SPRINGDALE — Patricia Kathleen Anne Quin, 89, of Springdale, Ark., beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, great- aunt, grandma and great- grandm o t h e r , passed away, peacefully at her home on March 16, 2018. Patricia “Pat” was born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 30, 1928, but her home was Hamden, Conn.

She is predecease­d by her husband James ( Jim) Leroy Quin; step-father Peter Mikkelson Clarlund von Klargaard; mother Catherine Frances Street von Klargaard and beloved aunt Phyllis Louise Street.

She is survived by her two sons, David Colin Quin and his wife Sheri Mauldin Quin, of Springdale, Ark.; and Robert Pierre Quin and his wife Velma Quin, of Joplin, Mo. She has three daughters, Deborah Anne Quin Bellante of Springdale, Ark., Catherine Quin Battaglia of Bella Vista, Ark., and Cynthia Phyllis Quin Roberts and her husband James Roberts of Largo, Fla. She is also survived by one brother, Peter Erik von Klargaard, and two sisters, Joyce Maren Louise Friedman and Catherine Kristine Lois Baustert, 13 grandchild­ren and 11 great-grandchild­ren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a veteran’s wife and amazing mother. She and her husband, Jim, were also missionari­es with New Tribes Mission ( now Ethnos 360) first in Bogota, Colombia, and then New Tribes Bible Institute at Waukesha, Wis. She was such a gracious person, full of wisdom, love and with a servant’s heart. A co-worker, from Colombia, said the following, “Please tell your mother that her life spent for the Lord encouraged me to do the same.” Proverbs 31 described her – she was a virtuous woman.

Patricia was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, in Rogers, Ark. She was saved after listening to broadcasts by Donald J. Barnhouse and reading his book on Romans. That remained her favorite book of the Bible. She loved telling how she was baptized in a small village chapel, in France, and her witnesses were French Christian Gypsies. Patricia loved her Lord and her family.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude, to Circle of Life, for their loving care and dedication, through their mother’s last months. In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested that any gifts be split between Disabled American Veteran’s Auxiliary, Dr. Gannon No. 3, of which she was an active member, and the Fayettevil­le V.A. OWASSO, Okla. — Carl Dee England, age 66, a resident of Owasso, Okla., passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, in Owasso. He was born Sept. 6, 1951, in Fayettevil­le, the son of James Pittman and Beulah G. (Thompson) England.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, J.C., Charles, Roy Gene and Danny Glenn. Survivors include two brothers, David England and wife Tammy of Rogers, Ark., and Jerry England and wife Ginger of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 6-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark.
