He was born in Chambers, Neb., on June 30, 1939, to Leo and Dorothy ( Fernholtz) Brown.

He is preceded in death by both parents, a son, Matthew Brown and a sister, Leona Stockman.

He is survived by his wife, Billie (Maddox) Brown; sons, David and Susan Brown of Panama City, Fla., Mike and Laurie Brown of Jacksonvil­le, Fla., Bob and Missy Brown of Platte City, Mo.; daughters, Lynda Brown of Omaha, Neb., and Tracey and Dale Murphy of Gravette, Ark.; brother, Don Brown of Fremont, Neb.; sister, Lois Brugger of Norfolk, Neb.; 11 grandchild­ren and eight great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Coffelt Cemetery in Centerton, Ark.

EROS — Wanda Harris, 83, Eros, died March 18, 2018. ROGERS — Shirley Rene’ Whitmore, 55, of Rogers, died March 14, 2018, at Pinnacle Health & Rehab. She was born Sept. 8, 1962, in Stillwater, Okla., to Ronald and Jeanne Fare Stringer.

Shirley was an operator for Southweste­rn Bell. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and most of all, spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Bumsted and husband, Adam and Jennifer Stringer, all of Rogers; and her special grandson, Jackman Bumsted.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

ROGERS — Donald Elmer Witte of Rogers passed away on March 19, 2018. He was born on June 7, 1924, in Ida Grove, Iowa. He was the 10th of 12 children born to Henry Witte and Magdalena Wunschel.

Donald received his education in the Ida and Sac county schools in Iowa.

He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy in 1945 and 1946. He worked as a carpenter for 43 years in the constructi­on of homes, schools, churches, and many other buildings in western Iowa and Northwest Arkansas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonvill­e.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; seven children; 11 grandchild­ren; and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard; and his 11 siblings.

SPRING DALE— Charlotte “Ann” Kordt, age 73, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. Ann was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Hughey of Fayettevil­le; the granddaugh­ter of the late George and Irene Crudup of Crosses and Perry and Winfred Hughey of Fayettevil­le.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Kasey Nicole Kordt and infant sister, Jennifer Hughey.

She was born April 11, 1944, in Fayettevil­le City Hospital.

During her childhood she lived in Crosses, Ark., Germany, Fort Bennington Ga., Baldwin, Ark., Fort Bliss, Texas, Milwaukee, Wis., and Fort Jay, N.Y., as her father served in the U.S. Army.

She married Keith in 1962 and lived in Germany while he was stationed there with the U.S. Army. They returned in 1964 and made their home in Northwest Arkansas. They raised four daughters and later enjoyed 10 grandchild­ren.

Ann had a heart for helping others. Throughout her life she continuous­ly ministered to new mothers, young families, and giving of time and resources to those who she encountere­d in need.

After the passing of her youngest child, she spent countless hours working with a support group for grieving parents and families. Her joy was spending time with grandchild­ren, family, friends, and traveling to Branson. She was a member of Cross Church in Springdale.

She is survived by husband of 55 years, Keith Kordt; daughters, Kim Wood (Chris), Kristy Ruff (Pat), Kelly Fougerouss­e (Mark); grandchild­ren, Sarah, Dylan, Justin, Noah, Phillip, Jordan, Samantha, Nick, Hannah, and Graham; sisters, Carol Walther (Jim), Mary Cathcart, Susan Scott ( Dusty), and Janet Bishop (Dave); sister-in-law, Barbara Berndt (Glenn); and 15 nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cross Church Springdale with burial following at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at Beard’s Chapel in Fayettevil­le.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale.

Special thanks to the staff at Northwest Medical Center acute care unit and the Circle of Life Hospice for their care of Ann.
