Charlotte A. Augustin, 91, of Bella Vista died Thursday, March 8, at Concordia Health and Rehab. She was born June 25, 1926, in Indianapol­is. She is survived by six siblings and their families. Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, March 27, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista at 10 a.m.

BELLA VISTA — Jane

Tebow Dunagin, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Gravette, died March 22, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was surrounded by her loving husband and three sons. She was born Dec. 10, 1930, in Colby, Kan., to Robert G. Tebow and Catherine Wilson Tebow.

Jane spent her early years in Tulsa, Okla., then junior high school through eleventh grade in Southwest City, Mo. She graduated from Joplin Memorial High School in 1948.

Jane went to college at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., then Kansas City University in Kansas City, Mo. She then graduated from University of Arkansas, Fayettevil­le in 1952 with a degree in home economics.

Jane met her future husband over Christmas in 1949, and they were married Aug. 1, 1951.

Jane spent most of her life in Gravette teaching school then working at their family business, Ideal Drug Store. After they sold their drugstore, Jane opened and operated her own real estate company, which she had named Olde Towne Real Estate. After a successful career in real estate, she then retired.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and both her brothers, Robert Wilson Tebow and Billie Jo Tebow.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Albert Dunagin; sons, David Lee Dunagin, (Rena Westbrook) of Fort Smith, Michael Sean Dunagin, (Christine) of Rogers, Donald Dean Dunagin, D.D. (Vickie Hopkins) of Fayettevil­le; five grandchild­ren, Alex Marcus Dunagin, of San Marcos, Texas, and his mother, Patrice Dunagin of Tyler, Texas, Blakelee Dunagin of Fayettevil­le, Elleson Dunagin of Conway, Meyer Sean Dunagin of Rogers, Christian Schafer Dunagin of Rogers; two sisters-in-law, Kay Tebow of Mount Vernon, Mo., and Barbara Tebow of Salina, Kan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 31, with memorial services following at 11 a.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Services conducted by Dr. Bryan Fink of Highlands Methodist Church. Music and songs by Patrick Hall; eulogies by Blakelee, Elleson, Schafer and Meyer Dunagin. DECATUR — Caroline

Alexandra Wear, 66-yearold resident of Decatur, Ark., died on March 22, 2018, at her home. Born on June 27, 1951, she was the daughter of Irving “Hep” Hepner and Rosemary Ryan Hepner.

Caroline graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She worked for the Social Security Administra­tion, the Medi Clinic in Decatur, and as a loving mother. Caroline attended the Decatur United Methodist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Rosemary Hepner; and Ray Wear. She is survived by two sons, Nick Wear and wife Cherrie of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Topher Wear of Oregon;

two granddaugh­ters, Emily and Charlotte; two sisters, Virginia Hepner of Atlanta, Ga., and Georgia Kunze of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; and brother, Steven Hepner of Orlando, Fla.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018, at Decatur United Methodist Church. Johnny Lee Asher, age 70, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed from this life on Monday, March 26, 2018, in Fayettevil­le. He was born Nov. 15, 1947, in Cherokee City, Ark., to Juel and Dorothy (Mullins) Asher.

He was a farmer and a veteran of the Army.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Richard and Jimmy Asher. Johnny is survived by his daughter Michelle Landelius, his son, Steve Asher; his sisters, Maxine Asher, Joyce Thompson, Shirley Philpott, Linda Asher; and two brothers, Juel Asher and Bill Asher; four grandchild­ren and one great-grandchild. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Mary

Lou Evans, age 85, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away March 24, 2018, in Fayettevil­le. She was born March 20, 1933, in Baxter Springs, Kan., to Guy and Gladys (Robbins) Cox.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mickey Cox.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Evans; her children, Keith Evans and Kenna Evans; and five grandchild­ren, Sydnie Evans, Kylie Sanders and her husband, Derrick, Evan Evans, Sarah Evans, and Meredith Evans.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Carol

Jennings, 92, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at her home in Wabeno, Wis. Carol was born Nov. 16, 1925, the daughter of Jesse and Katherine (Lowe) Wright.

She was married to Roland Lee Jennings on March 19, 1948, in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1991.

Carol graduated from North Texas State University and spent 34 years as an elementary school teacher in Texas and Northern California. She was known as a master teacher and was nominated for National Teacher of the Year. Carol was an elder in the Presbyteri­an Church (USA).

Surviving her are her son, Rev. Roland Lee (Rebecca) Jennings, Jr., and her two beloved grandchild­ren, Samuel and Sarah. A memorial service for Carol will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Forest Larger Parish Presbyteri­an Church, Wabeno, with Pastor Lee Jennings officiatin­g. Kenneth Osburn, age 87, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Sunset, Ark., the son of Henry and Cora Dockery Osburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. He liked to read the Bible, play horseshoes, play catch, and liked the outdoors.

Frankie Lee Skelton, 63, of Fayettevil­le passed away March 25, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. She was born Oct. 28, 1954, in Fayettevil­le to Jessie James and Pearl (Kezele) Curry.

Frankie looked for the humor in everything and enjoyed thrift shopping, bluegrass music, caring for people in need of a meal or a place to sleep, watching Game of

Thrones and The Walking Dead, going to the casino and the movies, animals, kids (especially her grandkids), and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Skelton, her parents, and one brother, Roger Curry. Survivors include her children, Don Harding and his fiancee, Traci Barrios, of Elkins, and Melissa Tillman of Fayettevil­le; one stepdaught­er, Mary Brown and her husband Raymond of Lincoln; three grandchild­ren, Paige Harding, Jessie Skelton, and Waylon Tillman, all of Fayettevil­le; and four step-grandchild­ren, Alex, Mitchell, Caylee, and Nyles Brown, all of Lincoln.

FAYETTEVIL­LE —

Ethel Mae (Dockery)

Terry, age 102, of Fayettevil­le, died on Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born on Sept. 17, 1915, in Sunset, Ark., one of the nine children of John E. and Millie (House) Dockery.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ralph; her parents; three sisters, Estella, Opal and Emma; four brothers, Raymond, Loyd, Ralph and Clarence; four sons-in-law, Bill Hulett, Jerry Johnson, Van Ledbetter and Jerry Oates; and two grandchild­ren, Craig Johnson and Lily Mae Johnson.

She is survived by one son, Randall Terry and his wife Gina; four daughters, Joan Oates, Wanda Ledbetter, Darleen and her husband Westzel Terry, and Barbara Johnson; 11 grandchild­ren; 12 great-grandchild­ren; eight great-great-grandchild­ren; and one brother, John Dockery.

She has been a member of Center Street Church of Christ since 1951, where her husband served as an elder for many years. She taught children’s Bible classes and was a daily Bible reader until her eyes wouldn’t allow it, reading the entire Bible many times. She was well known for her hospitalit­y and delicious food, especially her pies. As long as she was able, if you were new at Center Street church, you were invited to her home. She loved to cook and did so for the Fayettevil­le School System for about 40 years; completely retiring when she was 81.

In her “spare” time she sewed, crocheted and made beautiful quilts. She was a quiet, loving person who loved to spend time with her family. She was a caregiver for many years for her invalid mother-in-law and later for her invalid husband. In her last years, if you asked her how she was, she would say, “fat and sassy.”

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Center Street Church of Christ, followed by burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.

FORT SMITH —

Benjamin Harrison

“Harry” Shipley Jr., 96, of Fort Smith, passed away on March 24, 2018, in Fort Smith. He was born on March 12, 1922, in Fort Smith, to Benjamin Harrison Shipley and Maud Curtis Shipley.

He was a graduate of Fort Smith High School class of 1939, where he served as student body president. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1943, with a BSBA, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and student commander of the Army ROTC.

He served in the U.S. Army as a 2nd lieutenant in reconnaiss­ance and intelligen­ce during World War II. He participat­ed in the European Theater, was injured near Auchen, Germany, in the Battle of the Siegfried Line, and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Following the war, he graduated from the American Institute of Baking in Chicago, Ill. He joined Shipley Baking Company in 1945 with his father, and worked 54 years from 1945-1996, working also with his brother Curtis Shipley and sons, Ben and Frank Shipley.

He retired in 1996 as chairman of the board after the sale of the bakery to Flowers Foods.

He loved his church family and was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, serving as an usher and on various committees. He was a proud Eagle Scout, a loving husband, and father to his children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

He is survived by his children, Ben and wife Lane Shipley of Fort Smith, Frank and wife Mary Shipley of Crossville, Tenn., and daughter, Heather and husband Todd Longfellow of Rockwall, Texas; sister, Sally Bowers of Van Buren, Ark.; brother, Curtis and wife Jane Shipley of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; six grandchild­ren, Meg and husband Tommy McCrory of Dallas, Texas., Meredith and husband Eric Johnston of Kingwood, Texas, Reid and wife Margo Shipley of Tulsa, Okla., Caroline and husband Aaron Dale of Nashville, Tenn., Benjamin Shipley of Dallas, Texas, and George Vent, III, of Rockwall, Texas; one step-grandson, Cameron Longfellow of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchild­ren, Parker, Reagan, Hawkins, and Anna Margaret; and his special beloved friend, Nancy Wenderoth. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Janis Hawkins Shipley, and his second wife Mary Couch Shipley; sister Juda Holder and her husband Jimmy Holder; and brotherin-law Don Bowers.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at 1 p.m. in the Fort Smith National Cemetery, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Hall, age 80, of Rogers, passed away March 25, 2018. She enjoyed her work and had owned Barb’s Boutique. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and one son, John.

She is survived by her husband, Harry of the home; son, Mike and wife Helen of Iowa; daughter, Patty Treese and husband Tim of Rogers; four grandchild­ren and one great-grandchild.
