■ Brian Wagner, an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission biologist, was recently credited by researcher­s with discoverin­g two new species of crawfish — including one named for him, Faxonius Wagneri — in the Eleven-Point River in northern Arkansas over a decade ago.

■ Stacey Dash, the Clueless actress who later became a conservati­ve commentato­r, ended her campaign for a Southern California congressio­nal seat about a month after it began, explaining that she believed the bitterness in politics and the rigors of campaignin­g and holding office would be detrimenta­l to her family.

■ Francho Bradley, 59, of Frisco, Texas, told investigat­ors that he and Adrianne Jennings, 40, were on a classified mission for the Department of Defense when they was arrested at a Tewksbury, Mass., hotel on weapons charges, Massachuse­tts police said. ■ Tiffany Stone of Camp Dennison, Ohio, was en route to the hospital when she gave birth to her third child, Ember, before her husband could stop the car in a parking lot and with her two other children watching from the back seat.

■ Jonathan Bartlett Robertson, 49, was arrested in Richmond, Va., after stolen items worth $250,000, including Purple Heart medals, were found stored in a house north of Prague, Okla., Oklahoma authoritie­s said. ■ Michael Screnock, a Sauk County, Wis., judge and state Supreme Court candidate, resisted calls from the family of two child sex assault victims to condemn a television ad, run by a lobbying group, which criticizes a 2011 ruling by his opponent and provides enough informatio­n, the families say, to identify the victims.

■ John Nichols, the owner of the Crystal Beer Parlor in downtown Savannah, Ga., said whoever took a framed letter dated 1893 from his bar on St. Patrick’s Day “was probably drunk and just did it on a whim,” and he wouldn’t press charges if he gets the memorabili­a back. ■ Jan Breaux, 45, of Raceland, La., tested above the legal limit for alcohol in her blood after, police said, she rammed a Ford F-150 into five teenagers fishing near the shoulder of a road, injuring them.

■ Yasman Freeman, the manager of a Sonic fast-food eatery in Gulfport, Miss., said that after a drive-thru patron blew smoke in an employee’s face, the restaurant posted a sign that says drive-thru customers won’t be served if they are smoking marijuana.
