Dr. Don R. Phillips was appointed to a six-year term on the Arkansas State Medical Board. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with Mercy Clinic OB-GYN in Fort Smith. Phillips received his medical degree and completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Natalie Strickland
joined Mercy Clinic Interventional Pain Management clinic at 3501 W.E. Knight Drive, Fort Smith. She is board certified in pain management and anesthesiology. Strickland received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. She completed a pain medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and an anesthesiology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. She has medical teaching experience at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and at Emory University and the Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta. Lisa Montez joined the Walton Family Foundation as general counsel. Montez has worked in the philanthropic
and nonprofit sector for 15 years. She was deputy general counsel and assistant secretary at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Montez is a graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas School of Law.
Frances Woodard joined the Walton Family Foundation as people director. Woodard was vice president of human resources at Human Rights First. She has held a number of senior roles at organizations including The ONE Campaign, ONE Economy Corporation and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Woodard is a certified senior professional of human resources and a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park.
