Arkansas Support Network will welcome athletes of all abilities for the sixth annual Moving Together: Walk-Run-Roll on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park at Lake Fayetteville.

The inclusive day of moving will include a chipped 5K paved run with wheelchair-friendly course, a chip-timed 10K trail run and a 1-mile fun walk, roll and run. In a nod to the nonprofit organization’s 30th anniversary of its founding in 1988, the theme for the day will be “flashback to the ’80s,” with a special prize for the best 1980s costume. Registration for events is $15 to $35.

Proceeds from the day will

help support ASN’s inclusive recreation and wellness initiatives that “seek to provide people with disabilities inclusive opportunities to engage in sports and activities that enhance self-esteem, improve physical fitness, and form friendships that increase feelings of being an accepted member of a community,” according to the group’s website.

The group serves individuals with disabilities with offerings that include the Community Parent Resource Center, community living services and vocational foundations — such as supported employment, social and work skills development and enrichment opportunities in creativity, recreation and literacy.
