Rationality called for

-

I see your preposterous second-tolast-place columnist again purporting that “Medicare for all” was a mighty fine idea for America. In truth, it is likely coming, because if Democrats win one election it is a mandate to fundamentally change America forever, while any election they lose is a horrible mistake that must be undone by, apparently, any means possible.

However, before we all jump on the bandwagon for free health insurance for everyone, a little rationality is called for. In the past two years there have been internationally noted events in the United Kingdom’s equivalent, the National Health Service. Infants with life-threatening illnesses were determined by the state not to be worth the taxpayers’ pounds to save, and so were decreed to die. In both cases when parents had either the personal or donated resources that the children could be taken out of country for possible saving procedures that would cost the British taxpayer nothing, the almighty National Health Service refused to release the children to their parents’ custody to try and save their children.

Is this what you Democrats hope for America to become? Babies held hostage by the equivalent of the death panels we were promised were only a Palin fantasy? It seems they exist in the Jolly Olde Country, and will here if all health care goes through Uncle Sugar. Once we have it, there will be no going back. Even the Tories in Britain only claim to manage their socialist healthcare system more efficiently.

God save the USA from the Alinsky-ites, Democrats, and other assorted socialists who would trade freedom for security, and end up with neither. Don’t be fooled!
