FAYETTEVIL­LE — Jerry Hughey, age 84, of Fayettevil­le passed away Monday, May 21 in Fayettevil­le. He was born Dec. 18, 1933, in Russellvil­le, Ark., the son of Isaac Jerome and Burmel Daniel Hughey, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He worked for Farm Credit and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife Doris and 11 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018, at Central United Methodist Church in the activities center, with funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

GENTRY — Ramona Ann ( Musser) McDade,

age 84, a resident of Gentry, Ark., passed from this life on May 21, 2018, at her home. She was born Oct. 14, 1933, in Ashland, Ky., to Lawrence and Lorna (Dummitt) Musser.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence McDade; her daughters, Christine McCoy and Margaret Lessard.

Ramona was also lovingly called “Nina.” She was a “collector of collection­s” and owned Almost Antiques in Fort Laudervill­e, Fla. Although Ramona faced many challenges in life, she often referred to the adage “this too shall pass.” She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and “Nina.”

Left to cherish Ramona’s memory are her sons, Larry McDade (Karen) and Brent McDade (Denise); her sister, Dixie McKie; her grandchild­ren, Rochelle Broglen, Brandi Lynn Blair, Jamie Sue Austin, Shannon McDade, Jacob McDade, Rob McDade, Randi McDade, Michael McDade, Robin McDade, and Melinda Uber; 17 great-grandchild­ren; and one great- great grandchild.

A celebratio­n of life service will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark.

LITTLE ROCK — Martha Frances Allen Engstrom died Thursday, May 22, 2018, in CHI St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was born on May 8, 1921, to the late Emmet J. and Floy (Runyan) Allen of De Queen, Ark.

She graduated from De Queen High School and she attended the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and the Dean’s List. In 1940, she wed Harold J. Engstrom of Little Rock and the marriage lasted 62 years until his death in 2002.

They made their home in Little Rock raising a family of four boys. She served as a Cub Scout leader, and PTA president at Pulaski Heights Elementary and junior high, and was a Sunday school teacher at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church also as a member of the Board

of Stewards. Mrs. Engstrom was a member and past president of the 20th Century Club and a member of the Hope Lodge Board, the Women’s Emergency Committee, and AR Arts Center, The Fine Arts Club, and Pleasant Valley Country Club.

Preceded in death by her parents and a stepfather, Fay W. Park, her husband, Harold J. Engstrom and a son, Robert Allen Engstrom.

She is survived by a brother, Don W. Park and wife Joan of Greenbrier, Tenn., and a sister, Patricia Oldt of Grand Rapids, Mich. Martha is also survived by her three sons and daughters- in- law; Jim and Laura Engstrom, Steve and Rebecca Engstrom of Little Rock, and Bruce and Sue Engstrom of North Little Rock; six grandchild­ren, Carrie Engstrom Lebowitz and husband Scott of Memphis, Tenn.; Amy Engstrom of Washington, D.C.; Allen and wife, Ashley Engstrom; Greg and wife, Julie Engstrom; Page and husband, Tommy Siegler; and Louise Engstrom of Little Rock; great grandchild­ren, Jackson and Mason Engstrom; Gus and Oliver Engstrom of Little Rock; and Zachary and Sam Runyan Lebowitz of Memphis, Tenn.; and six nieces and nephews.

Her three sons thank her for her strong guidance, support, character, and leadership as a mother for which they give credit to much of the positive things in their lives and those of their immediate families.

The family extends its gratitude to Dr. Paul Zelnick and the rest of the healthcare profession­als and assistants in her life.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Ruebel Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 25, 2018, at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Lynn Lindsey followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.

PEA RIDGE — Johnnie Glen Watson, 89, of Pea Ridge, died May 22 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Sept. 30, 1928, in Wheeless, Okla., to Loyd Nelson Watson and Herma Cecil Phillips Watson.

He moved to the area in 1940 and married Laverne Watson Feb. 21, 1951. He raised chickens and cattle and was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laverne; a son, Roy Watson; two brothers,

Cecil and Bill Watson.

Survivors are one son, Darrel Watson and wife Anna of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; a daughter, Denise Sharpton and husband Charles of Raymore, Mo.; two brothers, Brice Watson of Derby, Kan., Gary Watson of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; six grandchild­ren and four great-grandchild­ren.

Service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.

PETTIGREW — James Gaven Eaton, 84, of Pettigrew died May 20, 2018, at Fayettevil­le. He was born March 22, 1934, at Boston to Frank and Irene Bennett Eaton.

James enjoyed fishing and camping and was a retired constructi­on manager.

He was predecease­d by his first wife, Rita Ficht Eaton; parents, Frank and Irene Eaton; two brothers, Dale Eaton and Jarrett Eaton; second wife, Rosemary; and third wife, Elizabeth.

James is survived by one son, James Eaton, Jr, of South Yarmouth, Mass.; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie Willhite of Fayettevil­le; one brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Eula Eaton of Elkins; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the Bruce Brashears Memorial Chapel from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Boston Cemetery with Mickey Evans officiatin­g.

Pallbearer­s will be Steve Eaton, Mark Eaton, John Mark Eaton, Scott Eaton, Terry Eaton and Roger Bennett.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Robert H. Myles, “Bobby”, age 69, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away on Sunday, May 20, 1918, at Circle of Life Hospice Home, in Springdale, Ark. He was born April 18, 1949, in Tulsa, Okla., to Harry C. and Demoy J. (Alexander) Myles.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joe T. Myles; and his sister, Mary Jean Greenfield.

Bobby was a longtime resident of Tulsa and spent many years as a pipefitter welder. His passion was the outdoors and he spent countless hours on the lake fishing or could be found every fall at deer camp on the family farm. He was always the life of the party. He loved spending time with family and friends and quickly became everyone’s “Uncle Bob.” He especially adored his only child, Maranda, and his five grandchild­ren.

He is survived by his daughter, Maranda (Aaron Stickel) Myles of Conneaut, Ohio; his five grandchild­ren Chelsea, Elias, Amber, Seth, and Nevaeh of Conneaut, Ohio; his brother, Harold E. Myles of Siloam Springs, Ark.; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and cousins; and lots of friends— especially his sidekick, Dawn Weaver, and lifetime best friend, Deanna Morrison.

SPRINGDALE — Brian David Edwards, 44, of Spr ingdale passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. He was born Sept. 2, 1973, in Manchester, N.H., to Jerry and Claudette Provost Edwards.

Brian was a plant manager for Tyson Foods. He loved baseball, golfing, the beach and spending time with his family. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothe­r, Verna Dixon Edwards and one aunt, Linda Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Edwards of Springdale; four sons, Ethan Edwards, Landon Edwards, Hunter Allen and Jake Allen all of Springdale; one daughter, Ally Allen of Springdale; his parents, Jerry and Claudette Edwards of Springdale; one brother, Gary Edwards and wife Valerie of Little Rock; two nieces, Layne and Hattie Edwards; one nephew, Micah Edwards; his grandfathe­r, Lindsey Edwards of Springdale; one uncle, Bobby Provost of New Hampshire; one aunt Judy Allen and husband Robert of Springdale and numerous cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 25, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown.

The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. before the mass at the church. Burial will follow in Douglas Cemetery in Highfill.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
