■ Robert Lockard, 94, a decorated veteran who served in northern France and central Europe during World War II, was honored with a high school diploma from Circlevill­e, Ohio, High School, 74 years after he dropped out to join the U.S. Army.

■ Lorin Nielsen, sheriff of Bannock County, Idaho, issued a public safety warning after several parents openly armed with assault-style rifles and a pistol responded to the scene of a school lockdown, calling it a “very bad idea” that could lead police to confuse them with active shooters.

■ Lee Myung-hee, the wife of Korean Air Chairman Cho Yang-ho who was sentenced to a year in prison for an onboard “nut rage” tantrum — she didn’t like the way a snack was served — that delayed a flight, has been summoned by South Korea police investigat­ing allegation­s that she abused employees.

■ Robert Regalbuto, police chief of Wildwood, N.J., said a video posted online of an officer punching a 20-year-old woman as he took her into custody for underage drinking and having alcohol on a public beach was “alarming” but doesn’t want to “rush to any judgment.”
