ELM SPRINGS — Lois Kathryn Cole, age 81, a resident of Elm Springs, Ark., passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Norwalk, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Teagarden) Kehn.

Lois was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church. She retired from teaching elementary school after over 40 years. She was active in the Christians Women’s Club, U of A Extension Club, Washington County Fair and CEO (Community Emergency Outreach).

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest J. Cole, three sisters Shirley, June and Jean and one brother Rusty.

Survivors include her son Steven Cole and wife Christina; her daughter Jodi Redfeather and husband Steve Roach; one brother Merle Kehn; one sister Carol Andrews; six grandchild­ren Taylor, Kyle, Ryan, Haley, Sara, and Tara; two great grandchild­ren Elliott and Riah.

Funeral service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Farmington United Methodist Church in Farmington, Ark.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — June Hollingswo­rth, 88, went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2018. The daughter of Gilbert and Eula Layne of Siloam Springs, she is survived by sons, Patrick Hollingswo­rth and Chris Hollingswo­rth and his wife, Deborah; sisters, Gloria Hall and Laverne Layne; granddaugh­ter, Tiffany Bratt; and three great-grandchild­ren.

June was a loving and devoted mother who, after retirement, turned her love of children to tutoring students at Asbell Elementary. A member of Sang Avenue Baptist Church, she held a belief in the Lord that carried her through difficult times.

A celebratio­n of life will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel, Fayettevil­le, with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

There will be no graveside services.

PRAIRIE GROVE — Claud Huland Nations Jr., age 77, a lifelong resident of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Prairie Grove, the son of Claud Huland and Violet Eleanor (English) Nations.

Huland owned and operated Nations Hardwood Company. He was an avid outdoorsma­n and the founding member of the John Wayne Club. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfathe­r and dog dad to Amos.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Louise Nations and his father Claud Huland Nations Sr.

Survivors include his wife Tonya Nations; his daughter Holly Nations and husband Adam Madar; his son Graham Nations and wife Melanie; his mother Violet English Nations; his step son Michael Robbins and wife Deidra; his sister Carolyn Carlisle and husband Bob; four grandchild­ren Ella and Maggie Nations and Diesel and Violet Robbins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 1, 2018, 10 a.m. at the Prairie Grove First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.

SPRINGDALE — Dorothy Helen Boyd, daughter of the late Thomas Lee Cunningham and Inez Borders Cunningham was born on Feb. 3, 1932, at Parma, Mo., and departed this life at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale, Ark., on May 24, 2018, at the age of 86.

Dorothy was a member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, a homemaker and long-time resident of Springdale.

She loved Jesus Christ, attending church and her family. Dorothy enjoyed singing and listening to Southern Gospel Music. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M.D. (Doyle) Boyd, her parents, and four sisters, Aileen Snider of Michigan, Jessie Lee Kester and Tomazine M. Carlton of Missouri and Doris June Cunningham who died in infancy.

She is survived by three sons, Galen Boyd of Arlington, Texas; Dennis Boyd (Linda) of Russellvil­le; and Jeff Boyd of Farmington; five grandchild­ren Kelsey Cox (Jerome) of Springdale, Kirsten Banks (Michael) of Conway, Whitney Cabral (Ruben) of Phoenix, Ariz., Kacee Wheeler (Matt) of Fayettevil­le, and Payton Boyd of Bentonvill­e and seven great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral arrangemen­ts will be handled by Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Friendship Cemetery in Springdale with Pastor Ben Gibson officiatin­g.

SPRINGDALE — Beverly Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, May 25, 2018, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. She was born Feb. 4, 1952, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., to Wayne and Dorothy (Langley) Millsap.

Beverly was a wife, mother, a lovie (grandmothe­r), a dedicated member of Springdale First Church of the Nazarene as well as a hairdresse­r for many in the community.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Smith, daughter Monea Smith and husband Tony Collado of Springdale, Ark.; son Patrick Smith and wife Taura of Springdale, Ark.; brother Gary Millsap of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister Patty Pitts of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; four grandchild­ren, Zachary Smith, Chance McMaster, Kaitlyn Smith, Lauren Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30 from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayettevil­le.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, May 31 at Springdale First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Terry Rohlmeier officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery.

SPRINGDALE — Aleta Ruth Wright, 89, of Springdale, Ark., passed from this life on May 27, 2018, in Fayettevil­le. She was born on June 20, 1928, in Springdale, Ark., to Lester and Geneva Reed.

Aleta will be missed by all who knew her.

Aleta is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Wright; her parents, Lester and Geneva Reed; and brothers, James Reed, Herman Reed and Warren Reed.

Left to cherish Aleta’s memory are her sons Larry Wright of Rogers and Randy Wright of Bentonvill­e; grandchild­ren Randa Wright of Richardson, Texas, and Joanna Jones and husband Okey of Centerton; and three great-grandchild­ren, Mason, Remi and Oaklee.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 30, 2018, at Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs, Ark.
