Miller’s run leads Naturals to victory over Travelers

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Anderson Miller scored on an error in the sixth inning to help the Northwest Arkansas Naturals secure a 7-4 victory over the Arkansas Travelers on Tuesday.

The error came in the midst of a five-run inning and gave the Naturals a 5-4 lead. Later in the inning, Erick Mejia drew a bases-loaded walk and Alex Liddi scored on an error.

In the bottom of the third, Arkansas crossed the plate for four runs, including a two-run double by Dario Pizzano. NW Arkansas answered in the fifth inning when Donnie Dewees hit an RBI single and then scored on a passed ball.

Nick Dini doubled and singled for NW Arkansas.

Starter Zach Lovvorn (4-3) got the win while Art Warren (1-2) took the loss in relief in the Texas League game. Franco Terrero pitched 12/ scoreless innings for 3 his second save of the season.

With the win, NW Arkansas improved to 9-3 against Arkansas this season.
