GOSHEN — A man injured three police officers late Thursday night, Goshen Capt. Zeb Rone said.

Police responded to a disturbance call at the Twin Bridges Apartments about 10:30 p.m.

Kelly Jendeski, 36, came outside and charged at the officers, police said. Police shocked Jendeski twice with a stun gun with no effect. Jendeski pulled out the probes and continued fighting.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Elkins police were called to assist in the arrest.

It took nine officers to subdue Jendeski, Rone said. He and two Elkins officers received non-lifethreatening injuries.

Jendeski was given sedatives that took about 30 minutes to work before officers could put him into a Central EMS vehicle. CEMS took him to Washington Regional Medical Center where he was given more sedatives, Rone said.

Jendeski admitted he had taken a large amount of methamphetamine and LSD earlier that night, according to a preliminary arrest report.

Jendeski is at the Washington County Detention Center. He faces charges of three counts of felony battery on a police officer, public intoxication, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to the report.

The initial call was made by Jendeski’s brother, who told police Jendeski showed up and began fighting with him, Rone said.
