Arkansas postcard past

BENTONVILLE, 1910 A man sent this card to Miss Mable Goodwin and, not knowing their story, one wonders what extra meaning the image might have. “Merely wanted to say that I have just finished a mighty fine supper — cooked rice, fried chicken with browned gravy, baked potato, red beans, sliced tomatoes, fresh strawberries de la cream and iced tea. Doesn’t that sound good? Don’t need the sleep but am going to retire early.”
